This week Kia went for a pre-op exam at Angell Memorial. The orthopedic specialist felt that Kia in fact did not need surgery! With aqua-therapy and acupuncture they felt that Kia could live comfortably without the costly surgery. There is a possibility that Kia’s condition may worsen and may need surgery in the future. Unfortunately, we can’t give a definite answer on whether or not this will be necessary, so potential adopters will need to understand this possibility.
