“JTSDS endeavours to cultivate ethical values, a strong multidisciplinary knowledge base and essential skill set for intervention in various phases of disaster cycle.” Year Event Disaster Studies is emerging globally as a full-fledged academic discipline and the decade long journey of JTSDS has pioneered disaster education in India. The field practice demands specialisation to meet the needs 1948 Kurukshetra Refugee Camps created by changing dynamics of the world and increasing frequency as well as magnitude of disaster events. The centre was established in 2006 and offered its first Full-Time Masters' Program in 2007. In 2015, it 1971 Bangladesh War became a School with three Centres viz.
