LOUIS, Mo., July 26, 2018 – After playing 17 of their last 20 games on the road, the Cardinals are back home for a seven-game homestand. The first two series at Busch since the All-Star break feature three games versus NL Central rivals the Chicago Cubs (July 27-29) and concludes with four games against the Colorado Rockies (July 30-August 2). The ninth homestand of the season is highlighted by three nationally televised games and Larry Walker’s return to Busch Stadium. Friday, July 27, 2018 — Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs (7:15 p.m.) MLB Network Showcase National Broadcast (out-of-market only) Gates open at 5:15 p.m. • Fireworks Night: Stay in your seat after the game to watch a dazzling fireworks display with the St. Louis Arch as the backdrop, presented by Cooper Tires. #CardsPromo • Autograph Night: Get free autographs from current and former Cardinals players, courtesy of Academy Sports + Outdoors. Greg Garcia will sign 100 autographs in Budweiser Terrace for fans ages 15 and younger from 5:45-6:15. Kids must have an autograph line ticket, which are free and are distributed in Budweiser Terrace. Former Cardinals Scott Cooper and Mike Tyson will sign autographs for fans of all ages from 6:15-7:00. Duvall became the first player to record two three-homer games while wearing a Braves uniform, and his efforts helped Atlanta set a National League record for runs in a game in the modern era (since 1900). “That was pretty amazing to be a part of,” Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman said. “I’ve never seen an offense click like that.” The Braves fell just one run short of tying the modern record for runs scored in a game, set when the Rangers defeated the Orioles, 30-3, in the first game of a doubleheader on Aug. 22, 2007, at Camden Yards. Dating back to 1900, no NL club had scored more than 28 runs in a game. The Braves’ franchise record was 23, a mark tallied during the second game of a doubleheader against the Cubs on Sept. 2, 1957. Ronald Acuña Jr. contributed to his three-hit night with a three-run home run to cap a six-run fifth. But it was his bases-loaded double in the sixth inning that gave the Braves a new franchise record for runs in a single game, opening a 25-8 lead. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Atlanta became the first MLB team to score at least 22 runs through the first five innings since the Blue Jays (24 runs) in a win over the Orioles on June 26, 1978.

Andruw Jones, 1996-2007 Key fact: Stands with Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays and Ichiro Suzuki as the only outfielders to win 10 consecutive Gold Glove Awards The 60.9 bWAR (Baseball Reference’s WAR model) Andruw Jones produced during his 11 full seasons (1997-2007) with Atlanta ranked third in the Majors, trailing only Alex Rodriguez (85.7) and Barry Bonds (79.2). Chipper Jones was fourth at 58.9. Within this span, the Braves center fielder led all Major Leaguers with a 26.7 Defensive bWAR. Hall of Fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez ranked second with 16.5. The next closest outfielder was Mike Cameron (9.6). Along with establishing himself as one of the greatest defensive outfielders baseball has ever seen during his time with Atlanta, Jones became one of the best power hitters in Braves history. He ranks fourth in franchise history with 368 homers, and he set the club’s single-season record with 51 homers in 2005.
