Bauer recorded 92 strikeouts and 27 walks in a team-leading 105.1 innings, making 20 appearances (10 3/6 at Oklahoma (16) L 6-5 starts). He secured Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, Rivals.com/Yahoo! Sports, Collegiate 3/7 at Oklahoma (16) L 7-6 Baseball, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Ping!Baseball. In addition, Bauer 3/8 at Oklahoma (16) L 6-4 was named the National Freshman Pitcher of the Year by Collegiate Baseball. Cole finished the 4/1 Loyola Marymount L 3-2 year 4-8 with a 3.49 ERA, compiling 104 strikeouts and 38 walks in 85.0 innings. He finished first among Pac- 4/3 at Washington State* L 7-2 4/4 at Washington State* L 4-3 10 pitchers with a .191 opponent batting average, and his 104-strikeout total ranked fourth in the conference 4/5 at Washington State* W 9-5 and established a new freshman single-season record at UCLA. Dunlap ranked second with 19 multiple-hit games and 5/16 Cal State Fullerton (5) L (10) 6-5 11 multiple-RBI efforts. He logged a career-high 11-game hitting streak (Feb. 27-March 13) and finished the 5/17 Cal State Fullerton (5) W 13-10 year having hit safely in 43 of 55 games. A fifth-round draft selection by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (171st overall), Haerther led * indicates Pac-10 Conference game UCLA with 21 multiple-hit games and registered 10 multiple-RBI efforts. Haerther was named Pac-10 Player Rankings are from Baseball America’s weekly top-25 poll of the Week (March 24) after batting .500 (7-for-14) with two home runs, eight RBI and five runs in three TV: FSN (Fox Sports Net), CBS-CS (CBS College Sports), games at USC. Haerther went 8-for-12 (.667) in three games at the Houston College Classic (Minute Maid OSN (Oregon Sports Network) Park). He finished his Bruin career wtih a .305 batting average, 22 home runs and 109 RBI.
