601 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Suite 800 Washington, DC 20004 | 202-654-5900 CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT REQUESTED 1 Pursuant to Sections 0.457 and 0.459 of the FCC’s rules and FOIA exemption 4, T-Mobile USA, Inc. (“T-Mobile”) respectfully request that the Commission withhold from public inspection and give confidential treatment to the site maps, TV Study files, and deployment scheduled submitted pursuant to Section 27.14 of the Commission’s rules. The FCC and the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) recognize the need to protect trade secrets and commercial information. • A Summer Wildfire: How the Greatest Debut in Baseball History Peaked and Dwindled Over the Course of Three Months
The Report committee for Colin Thomas Reynolds Certifies that this is the approved version of the following report: A Summer Wildfire: How the greatest debut in baseball history peaked and dwindled over the course of three months APPROVED BY SUPERVISING COMMITTEE: Co-Supervisor: ______________________________________ Tracy Dahlby Co-Supervisor: ______________________________________ Bill Minutaglio ______________________________________ Dave Sheinin A Summer Wildfire: How the greatest debut in baseball history peaked and dwindled over the course of three months by Colin Thomas Reynolds, B.A. Report Presented to the Faculty of the Graduate School of the University of Texas at Austin in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Master of Arts The University of Texas at Austin May, 2011 To my parents, Lyn & Terry, without whom, none of this would be possible. Thank you. A Summer Wildfire: How the greatest debut in baseball history peaked and dwindled over the course of three months by Colin Thomas Reynolds, M.A. The University of Texas at Austin, 2011 SUPERVISORS: Tracy Dahlby & Bill Minutaglio The narrative itself is an ageless one, a fundamental Shakespearean tragedy in its progression. A young man is deemed invaluable and exalted by the public. The hero is cast into the spotlight and bestowed with insurmountable expectations. But the acclamations and pressures are burdensome and the invented savior fails to fulfill the prospects once imagined by the public. He is cast aside, disregarded as a symbol of failure or one deserving of pity. It’s the quintessential tragedy of a fallen hero. The protagonist of this report is Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg, who enjoyed a phenomenal rookie season before it ended abruptly due to a severe elbow injury.

Before the Federal Communications Commission Washington, D.C. 20554 In the Matter of ) ) Children’s Television Programming Rules ) MB Docket No. 18-202 ) Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative ) MB Docket No. 17-105 To: The Commission COMMENTS OF LITTON ENTERTAINMENT LITTON ENTERTAINMENT James E. Dunstan Mobius Legal Group, PLLC P.O. Box 6104 Springfield, VA 22150 Telephone: (703) 851-2843 Counsel to Litton Entertainment Dated: September 24, 2018 SUMMARY The Children’s Television Act (“CTA”) has worked well for nearly 30 years. Adopted and implemented on a completely bipartisan basis, broadcasters and the FCC have met the goals set forth in the CTA to provide the youth of this country with substantial educational and information (“E/I”) content. While the media landscape may have changed since 1990, over-the- air (“OTA”) broadcasting remains the dominant platform for consuming media. Litton has created nearly 3,340 original half-hour E/I programs since the inception of the CTA, and now provides three hours each to ABC, CBS, NBC, CW, and Telemundo stations. Litton used the roadmap created by Congress and the FCC to use advertising and sponsorship dollars to underwrite the production costs of high quality E/I programs. Litton provides its programming to stations free of charge – offered in exchange for Litton being able to sell the advertising slots with the programming. All of the financial risk of producing the programming falls on Litton. Litton’s programming has garnered 50 Emmy nominations and 15 Emmy awards, 46 Parents’ Choice Awards, 108 Telly Awards, and a variety of other accolades. And Litton’s programming is being watched – 1.5 billion views in the last year.
