WELCOME TO THE WILSON This map will help you to find your way around the building.

The Galleries and Exhibitions are on Levels 1, 2 and 3.

There are two unisex toilets on each floor, including the ground floor – situated along the side of the lift block.

3 On this floor you will find the Summerfield Gallery. This gallery will show changing exhibitions.

Please ask at the Information Desk on the ground floor for details of the current show.

1 On this floor you will find the Friends Gallery which shows paintings from The Wilson’s fine art collection – including the Art Gallery & Museum’s founding collection of Dutch 17th century paintings, along with some of The Wilson’s most recent acquisitions. You will also be able to view treasures from the archive collections in the open Paper Store.

G The Atrium will showcase temporary displays. 2 On this floor you will find the first of the temporary Exhibition Galleries.

The Monument Gallery on this floor and the Summerfield Gallery on the third floor show changing exhibitions. Please ask at the Information Desk on the ground floor for details of the current show.

You will also find the original Art Gallery & Museum Galleries to one side of the lift.

Displays include: The new Arts and Crafts Movement Gallery and Furniture Store, History, the Antarctic explorer Edward Wilson Gallery, archaeology, ceramics, paintings and the Stay and Play area for our younger visitors.

OTHER INFORMATION The Wilson is open daily from 9.30am to 5.15pm.

The Wilson Café – situated on the ground floor and the first floor mezzanine is open daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday / 10am to 5pm Sunday.

The Wilson is closed 25 and 26 December, 1 January and Easter Sunday.

The Wilson Tourist Information Centre is also located on the ground floor – as part of the main Information Desk – where you will be able to find out what’s on, where to stay and where to go in Cheltenham and the wider and area.

– Please do not touch the exhibits – No flash photography – photography is allowed in some areas – please ask a Visitor Guide or at the Information Desk on the ground floor – Assistance dogs only – No food or drink is permitted in the galleries
