2021 Battle of the Blades OPERATION PLAN

 Masks are not required for fully vaccinated people unless specifically required by the facility hosting event/activity.  Masks are required by people not fully vaccinated regardless of facility policies.  Mask Policy signage must be displayed at entry points for all sanctioned events. (U.S. will provide signage.)  The LOC is not required to ask for proof of vaccination as a condition of participation in the event.  LOCs are still responsible for an overall Health and Safety plan and event medical coverage as part of sanctioning process.

ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS  All registrations will need to be processed online.  PPC/Music - online only, skater will not be allowed to turn CD/PPC in at the registration.  Skaters will need to have a backup CD during the event.

SCHEDULE: The detailed schedule will be communicated by the Competition Chair in advanced and can be found on EMS. Our tentative plan is to start events on Fri: Aug 27 @ 3pm & end on Sun: August 29 by 3pm and it is subject to change based on # of registrations.

ADMISSION POLICIES:  No individual will have access to the building without credential o Skaters will need to arrive and follow detailed schedule times. o All skaters must refer to Detailed Schedule.  All athletes 17 and under are permitted to have ONE guardian. o Pre-Event Off Ice warm-ups will be offered inside & outside (at the skater choice) o Practice ice Off Ice will be available only outside the facility. o Off Ice warm-up only for the skaters and coaches, chaperons not allowed.  Spectators will be allowed for the actual competition time and encouraged to access bleachers within designated area of arena. o No limit on # of spectators during the actual event performance. o Spectators are NOT allowed during practice ice o Rink 1 for the spectators to enter located to the right of the Main entrance. o Rink 3 for the spectators to enter located to the left of the Main entrance.  Skaters and coaches are welcome to bring and use their own disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers

REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN: Table will be set up on the 1st floor by the Main Entrance of the facility. Please check in upon arrival.

CREDENTIALS: all skaters, coaches, officials and chaperones will need to pick up credentials at the registration table located on 1st floor of the facility by the main entrance.

GOODY BAGS: goody bags will not be provided to the skaters during the event.

LOCKER ROOMS: Locker rooms will not be available during the entire event. Skaters will be required to come dressed for their practice/event. Skaters may use bathroom if need to change.

READY ROOMS: The Ready Rooms will be available for skaters to put on skaters prior to their event and practice ice. Skaters will not be able use the restrooms or sinks located within the Ready Room.  In the case that a skater needs to have assistance from a chaperone to put on their skates, there will a designated Ready Room “11 & under”

RESTROOM POLICY: To ensure a safe environment for all participants during the event, skaters, chaperones, vendors and volunteers will be allowed to use ONLY the 1st floor restroom of the SportONE Parkview Icehouse facility. Coaches and officials ONLY second floor of the facility.

DETAILED SKATERS SCHEDULE:  Skaters' arrival and warm-up times will be scheduled and communicated in advance.  Upon arrival skaters must check in at the Registration/Check-In Station, located inside the main lobby by the rink entrance.  Skater must follow detailed time for her/his off ice warm-up and ready room time.  Skaters will be assigned to a group based on the schedule.  Skaters will stay in the same group the entire WU and event schedule.  At the end of the event, the skaters will be required/scheduled to leave ready room.

PRACTICE ICE  20 minutes (UPI) will be available  Online registration ONLY – must register in advance.  $20 per – 20 min (Maximum 20 skaters per session)  Skaters will have "Ready Room" available to put skates on, refer to the detailed schedule.

OFF ICE Warm-Up  Skaters may warm up either inside or outside the facility  Rink 1 and Rink 3 will have designated inside warm-up areas (refer to the rink maps)  Outside warm-up on the west side of the parking lot (refer to outside map)

DURING the EVENT or UPI  Individual chair will be provided for each skater.  The seats will be disinfected between skaters.  Skaters must follow social distance marks before entering the ice.  Plastic glass at rink side will be lifted for the coach's convenience.

STARTING ORDER and RESULTS  Starting Order will be communicated and posted on EMS.  Results will be available online https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/sports/figure-skating

AWARDS: The award ceremony will be located INSIDE of the facility in the main lobby.

VENDORS: Will be located OUTSIDE of the facility under the tents.
