Announcement

1| Eligibility Amateurs (boys and girls) born in 2003 or later, who are members of a German golf club associated with the German Golf Association (DGV) or a foreign golf club associated with its respective national golf association.

2| Maximum entries / Limit of handicap-index / Exemption clause / Waiting list / Withdrawals 106 girls and 106 boys are eligible to play. The players listed under No. 14 are automatically eligible without consideration of their handicap-index. Players with a maximum handicap-index of 1,9 for boys or 3,6 for girls will be entered according to their handicap-index. When the starting field is complete, the remaining entries will be placed on a waiting list according to their handicap-index. In case of subsequent withdrawals, players on the waiting list will be invited to compete by 25 May 2021 12.00 hrs . Withdrawals: If, for any reason, a competitor is unable to participate, he or she has to communicate this to the German Golf Association before 18 May 2021 . Otherwise the entrance fee will not be refunded.

February 2021 International Championships

Ties (Regulation for equal results) In the event of a tie for first place, the winner will be decided by a hole by hole play-off. If a play-off involves more than two players, those other than the winner will be deemed to have tied for second place regardless of their scores in the play-off. All ties, except in determining the winner of the Championship, will be decided by card count back based on the best score for the final 36, 18, 9, 6, 3 holes or last hole in that order. If a tie still exists, it is decided by chance (such as tossing a coin). The winning girl will be honoured as “German Girls Open Champion, 2021” The winning boy will be honoured as “German Boys Open Champion, 2021” Special prize for the best U16 player (boys/girls) after 36 holes.

Livescoring (Rule 3.3 b (2)): A mobile scoring application will be used in addition to a paper scorecard. To help in administrative matters, players are required to enter scores for each hole using their own cell phones. A mobile scoring website will be provided. If there is any discrepancy, the paper scorecard will be decisive.

Players can be penalized by the Committee with regard to the Code of Conduct (see Local Rule / Rule 1.2b) if they refuse to enter scores into the mobile scoring website. There can be penalties regarding future participation.

Nations Cup: Separate gross competition for boys’ and girls’ teams. 36 holes stroke-play team event: Thursday, 1st round 18 holes Friday, 2nd round 18 holes Teams of two or three players, who entered the competition before the closing date and have been named by their national association, either in advance to the office of the German Golf Association or during the practice day by 15.00 hrs in the golf club, are eligible to play in the Nations Cup. Each country may enter up to two boys teams and two girls teams. The two best scores of each team for the first and second round count. In the event of a tie, the best team score of round two counts, thereafter the best individual score of round two, thereafter the non-counting score of player three of round two, thereafter the decision is made by chance (such as tossing a coin).

8| Conditions of competition The Championship is played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R & A and the Local Rules for the competition. The World Handicap System and the general conditions of competition of the German Golf Association apply for the tournament. In case of doubt the German version of all conditions is decisive. The Committee reserves the right to alter the conditions.

9| Free practice round Tuesday till Wednesday in the week of the Chapmionship. Starting times for the practice round can be booked after the closing date (18 May 2021), when the entry fee has been paid.

10| Registration All players must register at the clubhouse the day before the Championship by 16.00 hrs. Each competitor will receive an information pack at registration. A competitor who does not register by this date and time will be excluded from the Championship. If a player is unable to register in person, a registration by another person, e-mail or telephone will be accepted.

11| Information / Tee Times / Accommodation Tee Times: Posted on the information board, located at the clubhouse office and on the scoreboard.

Practice balls: “Free of charge” at Driving Range.

Trolleys: Trolleys are available and will be handed out at the secretary’s office in the clubhouse. A trolley deposit will be required: € 20.00. Foreign players are given preference.

Golfbag storage and keys for lockers: Golfbags can be stored at your own risk in the caddy house next to the clubhouse. A few lockers are available; keys will be handed out at the secretary’s office in the clubhouse. A key deposit will be required: € 20.00.
