The fifth annual private meeting for professional intermediaries and trusted advisors to private and family clients

T      Since its launch in , The Family Wealth Management Conference has established itself as an exclusive forum for leading professional intermediaries to meet and discuss some of the key considerations when advising high-net-worth private clients. In , The Family Wealth Management Conference will continue to build upon this reputation. We have invited expert speakers, both intermediaries and their clients, to draw on real life examples and illustrate their points using case studies. This approach means that attendees access direct insights and learn from the experiences of others. This in turn maximises the conference take-home benefits for delegates, their offices or practices, and their clients.

T  This year the conference starts with an examination of the evolving role of the close advisor. A top with over  years’ experience advising high-net-worth families and individuals will analyse and discuss the future strategic direction for intermediaries: whether advisors are offering the best service model for meeting the needs of private clients. Other key themes and issues addressed at this year’s meeting include: ● Trusts – a review of recent global developments and their implications for families of wealth, including new on the tax treatment of UK trusts and an update on the progress made by Switzerland to ratify the Hague Convention on the recognition of trusts ● Alternative structures to trusts – examining some specific alternatives and their applications ● Representing the international family – what challenges does the close advisor face in advising families with complex international interests – case studies illustrating real life examples ● The view from the inside: what the client wants – a single family office, family foundation and multi family office offer their view on what they look for in an advisor ● Cross border tax and investment update – experts will cover some key considerations governing tax and investment regulations when structuring client interests in the USA and Europe ● An update on divorce law – what has been the impact of some prominent recent cases in this area? What strategies and planning should be put in place to negotiate this minefield?

B   –    As is customary, to maintain the privacy and exclusivity of the meeting, registration forms are sent on an ‘invitation only’ basis. Attendance is restricted to independent professional intermediaries: ; accountants; independent trustees; family office executives; business and foundation executives; and independent asset managers. The only attendees from outside these groups will be limited representation from each sponsoring company, from our professional partners and some speakers. The conference is neither publicly marketed nor reported afterwards and the press is not admitted. This formula has received wide acceptance from our delegates since we launched our series of private meetings in .

T  This year’s conference will again be held at the Mandarin Oriental, Hotel du Rhône, on the banks of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. To book your accommodation, please contact the hotel directly by calling +    and ask for the ‘Campden Delegate Room Rate.’
