However, the long-term evolution of lakes in a certain megacity and the heterogeneity of the spatial relationship between related influencing factors and lake changes are rarely discussed. The evolution of 58 lakes in Wuhan, China from 1990 to 2019 was analyzed from three aspects of lake area, lake landscape, and lakefront ecology, respectively. The Multi-Scale Geographic Weighted Regression model (MGWR) was then used to analyze the impact of related influencing factors on lake area change. The investigation found that the total area of 58 lakes decreased by 15.3%. A worsening trend was found regarding lake landscape with the five landscape indexes of lakes dropping; in contrast, lakefront ecology saw a gradual recovery with variations in the remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) in the lakefront area. The MGWR regression results showed that, on the whole, the increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), RSEI in the lakefront area, precipitation, and humidity Citation: Wen, C.; Zhan, Q.; Zhan, contributed to lake restoration.

The province itself is named for the Zhe River (now called the Qiantang River), which runs through the southern part of the Hangzhou urban area. The historic core is located approximately 100 miles to the southwest of Shanghai. Most of the Hangzhou urban area is flat, but there are intermittent hills. There are more significant hills to the west of the urban area, especially beyond West Lake (aerial photograph, Slide 3). 1 http://www.demographia.com/db-worldua.pdf and http://www.demographia.com/db-worldua2015.pdf. • Evaluation of the Fairness of Urban Lakes' Distribution Based On
International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health Article Evaluation of the Fairness of Urban Lakes’ Distribution Based on Spatialization of Population Data: A Case Study of Wuhan Urban Development Zone Jing Wu *, Shen Yang y and Xu Zhang y School of Urban Design, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China; [email protected] (S.Y.); [email protected] (X.Z.) * Correspondence: [email protected] These authors contributed equally to the research. y Received: 14 November 2019; Accepted: 4 December 2019; Published: 8 December 2019 Abstract: Lake reclamation for urban construction has caused serious damage to lakes in cities undergoing rapid urbanization. This process affects urban ecological environment and leads to inconsistent urban expansion, population surge, and uneven distribution of urban lakes. This study measured the fairness of urban lakes’ distribution and explored the spatial matching relationship between service supply and user group demand. The interpretation and analysis of Wuhan’s remote sensing images, population, administrative area, traffic network, and other data in 2018 were used as the basis. Specifically, the spatial distribution pattern and fairness of lakes’ distribution in Wuhan urban development zone were investigated. This study establishes a geographic weighted regression (GWR) model of land cover types and population data based on a spatialization method of population data based on land use, and uses population spatial data and network accessibility analysis results to evaluate lake service levels in the study area. Macroscopically, the correlation analysis of sequence variables and Gini coefficient analysis method are used to measure the fairness of the Wuhan lake distribution problem and equilibrium degree, and the location entropy analysis is used to quantitatively analyze the fairness of lakes and Wuhan streets from the perspective of supply and demand location entropy.

  • Creative Spaces Within Which People, Ideas and Systems Interact with Uncertain Outcomes
GIMPEL, NIELSE GIMPEL, Explores new ways to understand the dynamics of change and mobility in ideas, people, organisations and cultural paradigms China is in flux but – as argued by the contributors to this volume – change is neither new to China nor is it unique to that country; similar patterns are found in other times and in other places. Indeed, Creative on the basis of concrete case studies (ranging from Confucius to the Vagina Monologues, from Protestant missionaries to the Chinese N & BAILEY avant-garde) and drawing on theoretical insights from different dis- ciplines, the contributors assert that change may be planned but the outcome can never be predicted with any confidence. Rather, there Spaces exist creative spaces within which people, ideas and systems interact with uncertain outcomes. As such, by identifying a more sophisticated Seeking the Dynamics of Change in China approach to the complex issues of change, cultural encounters and Spaces Creative so-called globalization, this volume not only offers new insights to scholars of other geo-cultural regions; it also throws light on the workings of our ‘global’ and ‘transnational’ lives today, in the past and in the future. TOURISM AND THE CREATIVE ECONOMY © OECD 2014 104 – II. CASE STUDY – DEVELOPING CREATIVE SERVICE INDUSTRIES IN HANGZHOU, CHINA Creativity is changing the People’s Republic of China according to Li Wuwei (2011), a leading Chinese economist and policy advisor. The nation is learning to embrace a “third industrial revolution” (Rifkin, 2011) while banking the economic capital of the carbon-dependent manufacturing economy. Urbanisation is also driving change and consumer culture (Gerth, 2010). Most of China’s high-value creative service industries are found in the large urban centres of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in the coastal provinces. China’s second-tier cities, including Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, are also seeking to make capital out of culture, albeit with different strategies than the coastal hubs. The Hangzhou metropolitan area is the fourth largest in China, with 8.8 million residents. Zhejiang province was once known as the “land of rice and fish.” However, with the increased emphasis on productivity in China’s economic reforms since 1978, the province became an economic heavyweight, characterised by small and medium-sized enterprises often working together to produce complementary products. As more growth occurs in second-tier cities like Hangzhou and the environmental impact of the manufacturing industries are more apparent, service industries are gaining momentum and support from government think tanks to support growth.

  • Recognition Criteria and Application of Lake Eutrophication Evaluation
International Journal of Scientific Research and Management (IJSRM) ||Volume||08||Issue||08||Pages||EC-2020-405-413||2020|| Website: www.ijsrm.in ISSN (e): 2321-3418 DOI: 10.18535/ijsrm/v8i08.ec01 Recognition Criteria and Application of Lake Eutrophication Evaluation Based On Set Pair Analysis 1Shi man Yuan, 2Fan xiu Li* 1,2College of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Yangtze University, Jingzhou Hubei, 434023, China Abstract The set pair analysis evaluation method has been applied to evaluate water quality. However, in real-life applications, because traditional assessing methods usually yield extreme results and are of poor resolution, a hybrid recognition criterion, entropy weight and set pair analysis model is established. The concepts and calculated methods of assessment grade fuzzy characteristic and confidence criterion were proposed in order to solve the problem of determination of the magnitude of lake eutrophication. And the weight value was calculated by entropy weight method and finally got the evaluation grade as a confidence interval based on confidence level. Compared with the set pair analysis based on triangular fuzzy number method (SPA(TFN)) and the improved set pair analysis method (ISPA), the evaluating results of this model are more reasonable and its resolving power is higher. This study offer new insights and possibility to carry out an efficient way for lake eutrophication status evaluation. The study also provides scientific reference in lake risk management for local and national governmental agencies. Keywords: Recognition criterion; Set pair analysis; Lake eutrophication evaluation; Confidence criterion. 1. Introduction Lakes are extremely precious water resources on the surface of the earth, especially fresh water lakes.
