VINIFICATION • received at a cool 19ºC. • Fermentation with natural yeast. • Fortification at 8º Baumé. • The very low bunch weight and the fact that the berries themselves were very small also meant that there was much less juice than usual relative to the amount of skins. Consequently, even more extraction of colour and flavours than in other years, was possible.

The Warre 2000 blend was vinified in the following manner: • Traditional treading in lagares: 53% • Pumping over / Autovinification: 47%

WINE SPECIFICATION Alcohol by Volume: 20 v/v (20ºc). Total Acidity: 4.45 (g/l). Total Phenolics: 85 Baumé: 3.74 Each component of the blend was held in wooden vats for 18 months after which it was racked. Bottling will take place in May/June 2002. The has had no filtration or fining whatsoever.

TASTING NOTE Very dark purple in colour, inky and concentrated. Lovely fresh aromas of violets, layer and layer of ripe blackberry fruit, intensely rich and very full bodied. Sweetness and tannins bind this wine together to form a perfect harmonious structure, a wine which has all the potential to age well into the 2nd half of the 21st century.
