• When emailing an adult volunteer, scouts should always include a parent or guardian in the email thread. • When a scout is using Video Chat, always have another person present with you either virtually or in the room and introduce them to the person you are working with. • Always print any approval emails and attach them to your Blue Card as evidence of completion. 1. For Eagle Scout Boards of Review, the local council must grant permission to hold it by videoconference. 2. Test all equipment 3. Make sure everyone is visible 4. A parent or guardian of the Scout, or two registered adult leaders (as required by the Guide to Safe Scouting) who are familiar with these requirements for videoconference boards of review, must be directly present with the Scout at the beginning of the conference. 5. Videoconference boards of review must not be recorded. 7. If an appeal is necessary (as outlined in the Guide to Advancement), this may be conducted via videoconference as well.
