The Pratt Institute is very excited to welcome you to , and the historic Pratt Campus in the Clinton Hill section of , NY. We very much look forward to hosting your institution’s participating athletes, coaches, official representatives, and spectators on our campus.

Please find in this document the essential information needed for your visit to Clinton Hill and to Pratt, as well as a helpful guide to make the most of your time here. If you have any special or additional needs not addressed, please contact us in advance to your visit so we can assist you.

EVENT & FACILITIES

Basketball

Games are played at the Pratt ARC, located on Steuben Street on the Pratt Brooklyn Campus. Visitors are recommended to check in with the Pratt Campus Safety booth at 200 Willoughby Avenue – and proceed to the recommended parking arrangement. Locker rooms are available inside the facility.

Volleyball

Games are played at the Pratt ARC, located on Steuben Street on the Pratt Brooklyn Campus. Visitors are recommended to check in with the Pratt Campus Safety booth at 200 Willoughby Avenue – and proceed to the recommended parking arrangement. Locker rooms are available inside the facility.

THE ARC Opened in 1975, the ARC is home to Pratt’s varsity athletic teams. Featuring a weight/fitness room, a fitness studio, 200-meter indoor track, basketball, volleyball and five indoor tennis courts and houses a 325x130-foot open space, the ARC hosts numerous activities and events throughout the year.

ADMISSIONS POLICY

Admission is free to ALL Pratt sporting events and contests. This includes Pratt Students, faculty, staff, admin, alumni, and visiting spectators. Pets, bikes, weapons, alcohol, coolers and glass bottles are prohibited. Flash photography is prohibited. All spectators are expected to follow and adhere to the rules of the ARC.

PARKING POLICIES AND REGULATIONS

All contests inside of the ARC provide visitor parking behind the facility. In tune with Pratt’s visitor’s parking regulations, several spaces are allotted for visitor parking and are strictly enforced. All spectators who are visiting for a contest (and who do not have a Pratt Parking permit) MUST visit the Public Safety booth at the Willoughby Avenue main entrance prior to parking.

Other visiting parking policies and regulations are as such:

1. All vehicles parked on Pratt property must have a current state registration. Any vehicle not possessing a valid state registration will be considered abandoned and subject to towing from Pratt property at the owner’s expense. 2. Overnight parking is never permitted in the Main lot. 3. Visitors shall not: a. Park in yellow zone. b. Obstruct fire hydrants. c. Park in fire lanes. d. Obstruct gates and driveways. e. Park in handicap areas (unless care is tagged with appropriate state permits). f. Park in loading zones. g. Park on sidewalks. h. Park on lawns. i. Park in any unauthorized spaces. 4. At the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or his designee, any vehicle obstructing campus operations or emergency access areas may be towed without notice to the owner and at the owner’s expense. Pratt is not liable for any damage that may result from towing. 5. Any vehicle without a validly issued visitors parking permit or Public Safety approval will be towed from Pratt property at the owner’s expense. Pratt is not liable for any damage that may result from towing. 6. All visitors are subject to state and local traffic and parking regulations while on Pratt property and are responsible for knowledge of these regulations. Any violation of a state or local traffic regulation may result in the loss of parking privileges. 7. The visitor assumes all responsibility for any damage and/or liabilities incurred to the vehicle while parked on Pratt property, including, but not limited to, theft, vandalism, damage to, or loss of, the vehicle or personal property contained in the vehicle. Pratt is not liable for personal injury, damage, theft, or loss of property arising from the exercise of parking privileges. 8. Pratt community members park at their own risk. 9. The Pratt campus speed limit is 5 MPH.

Get on Grand Central Pkwy from LaGuardia Access Rd. Take I-278 W to Williamsburg St W in Brooklyn. Take exit 31 from I-278 W. Continue on Williamsburg St W. Take Hall St to Willoughby Ave. Arrive at Pratt Institute Front Entrance.

JFK Airport (10.3 miles)

Take exit B to 130th Pl. Take exit B from I-678 S (433ft). Take N Conduit Avenue and Atlantic Ave to Willoughby Ave in Brooklyn (10.1 mil). Turn right onto Willoughby Avenue (0.2 mi). Arrive at Pratt Institute Front Entrance.

Newark Liberty Airport (25.9 miles)

Take Route 1 and 9 S to NJ-81 S in Elizabeth. Take I-278 E to Tillary St in Brooklyn, New York. Take exit 29B from I-278 E. Take Park Ave and Vanderbilt Ave to Willoughby Ave. Arrive at Pratt Institute Front Entrance.

Driving BQE Heading West/South

Exit 31, Wythe Avenue/Kent Avenue. Stay straight to go onto Williamsburg Street W., which becomes Williamsburg Place, then Park Avenue. Turn left onto Hall Street. Proceed two blocks to Willoughby Avenue. Make a left on Willoughby. Campus is on right. BQE Heading East/North

Exit 30, . Bear left onto Classon Avenue, then turn left onto Flushing Avenue. Turn left on to Washington Avenue. Proceed two blocks to Willoughby Avenue. Make a left on Willoughby. Campus is on right. West Side Manhattan

Via Manhattan Bridge. Travel east on Canal Street to Manhattan Bridge. Exit bridge to . Turn left onto Lafayette Avenue. Proceed 15 blocks. Make a left turn onto Washington Avenue. Go two blocks. Make a right turn onto Willoughby Avenue. Campus is on the right.

East Side Manhattan

Via Brooklyn Bridge. Travel south on the FDR Drive (also called East River Drive) to Brooklyn Bridge exit. Exit bridge to Tillary Street. Turn left on Tillary to Flatbush Avenue. Turn left onto Lafayette Avenue. Proceed 15 blocks. Make a left turn onto Washington Avenue. Go two blocks. Make a right turn onto Willoughby Avenue. Campus is on the right.

Subway Grand Central Station

Take the downtown 4 or 5 train to the station. Take the Brooklyn-bound A or C train to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station. Cross platform and take the G train (front car) to the Clinton-Washington station. Use Washington Avenue exit. On Washington, walk one block north to DeKalb Avenue. Turn right onto DeKalb and proceed one block to Hall Street/Saint James to the corner gate of the Pratt campus. Penn Station

ATHLETIC TRAINING

The Pratt athletic training facility is located on the ground floor of the ARC Upper Level Athletic Facility (past the men’s and women’s locker rooms). The facility and its operator will be available prior to practice and competition for visiting and Pratt student-athletes ONLY. The Pratt Athletic training staff can provide taping and treatment services, but we request that please provide your own supplies.

The training facility provides first aid, taping, and therapeutic modalities. The following emergency equipment can be found in the athletic training facility: splints, crutches, and an AED. A wheelchair is located in the ARC facility. All hydration needs will be provided through the athletic training facility. The athletic trainer will provide coverage at home contests.
