2002-2005 Barksdale Reading Institute. PK-2 Reading Programs. Applied & received $9,000 over 3 years which supported a teaching supplement for the on-site teacher/coordinator of the reading institute. Attended and represented school at annual Barksdale Principals meetings.

K-12 Grants in a Supportive and Supervisory role:

2003-2005 Healthy Snacks Grant. Mississippi Department of Education- Office of Healthy Schools, $80,000.00 (2 years). Ellen Turnipseed was the Principal Investigator (PI) of this grant and the Coordinator of this program at Weir School.

2003-2005 Project CREATE/ E2T2 Technology Grant. Dr. Frances Coleman, PI. A technology coordinator was hired for Weir School and I assisted the coordinator in creating a “Weir Techno Team”. This team consisted of students who assisted the coordinator and teachers with technology-related issues. Approximately $100,000 for Weir School.
