USA Water Polo ODP East Regional Championship

Come join us this weekend, Friday, January 11 through Sunday, January 13, 2019, in Greensboro at the Greensboro Aquatic Center for the largest water polo tournament ever held in the Carolinas -- the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program East Regional Championships. There are a total of 40 water polo teams competing this weekend, and teams are from four of USA Water Polo's Olympic Development Zones: the Great Lakes, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast. This event features three different age groups: Development, Cadet, and Youth.

This is the first time USA Water Polo has ever held its Olympic Development Program Championships in the state and Sports & Properties, Inc. (SPI) is leading the host committee for the big event. The Championships promise non-stop action with three games going on simultaneously at the aquatic center. Competition starts today at 4pm and will run to 7:30pm. Tomorrow competition begins at 8am and will extend to 7pm. On Sunday, competition gets underway at 7am and is expected to continue to 2pm.

The Greensboro Aquatic Center is conveniently located at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, NC, just off Interstate 40. There is a modest charge for parking but the competition is completely free and open to the public.
