This was a time when new Corvette seatbelt parts were scarce and most Corvette owners spent time sifting through used parts at swap meets. As Jeff began searching for the much needed seatbelts to complete his 1975 Corvette, he soon found that the parts he needed were either unavailable, of poor quality or overpriced. Luckily for the Corvette industry, Jeff was not willing to pay more to refurbish the belts he found at a swap meet, which would almost cost more than he paid for the car. Instead he set out on a mission to produce aftermarket ”Direct Fit” seatbelts at a reasonable cost for all Corvette owners. After six months of research and development Jeff was ready to launch his new product - 1974-1977 dual retractable Direct Fit seatbelt set. He drove two hours to show the new belt to one of the biggest aftermarket Corvette distributors. They took one look at the high quality, and knowing these aftermarket seatbelts were in great demand, asked when could he deliver the first order.

It covers understanding the problems and solutions; deciding what can be done; planning and carrying out a project; providing adequate, accurate, and current terhnical information; and reaching additional sources of information. Chapter 1 provides community program ideas by describing what some people can do within their particular spheres of interest. Focus is on law enforcement personnel, health career providers, business community, educators, and civic groups. Chapter 2 provides guidelines for designing, planning, and conducting a program. Topics include exploring the local problem, getting together, training, developing the project, funding, publicity, evaluation, observation surveys of child restraint use, and safety seat loan programs. Chapter 3 offers the success stories of three child passenger safety advocacy groups, and chapter 4 describes what passenger safety advocates need to know about protecting children. This chapter covers how restraint systems protect people, safety standards for car safety seats, sources of safety seats, choosing and using car seats, demonstrating correct use, parents' questions, and when children ride with others. Appendixes include listings of print and media resources, Information sources, and a glossary.

Today, the main challenges for data analysts studying smartphone-based driving data stem from the mobility of the smartphone. In this study, we use kernel-based k-means clustering to infer the placement of smartphones within vehicles. All in all, trip segments are mapped into fifteen different placement clusters. As part of the presented framework, we b) discuss practical considerations concerning e.g., trip segmenta- tion, cluster initialization, and parameter selection. The proposed method is evaluated on more than 10 000 kilometers of driving data collected from approximately 200 drivers.
