BRONCOS FORCE THREE TURNOVERS IN LOSS The Denver Broncos recorded three takeaways in their 24‐20 loss to the Jets against a team that came into the game having not turned the ball over in four consecutive contests. LB Jason Hunter made his first career in the first quarter and rookie CB Syd’Quan Thompson recorded his first career interception in the second quarter. The were the first recorded off Jets QB Mark Sanchez this season. Sanchez entered the game as the league’s only five‐game starter not to throw an interception. Rookie CB Perrish Cox forced a in the third quarter and now leads the club with two takeaways on the season (INT vs. Sea., 9/19). PRATER KICKS CAREER‐LONG TO END FIRST HALF K converted on 2‐of‐3 field goals against the Jets, including a career‐long 59‐yard field goal to end the first half. The 59‐yarder, which marks the second‐longest field goal in club history, makes Prater 9‐of‐11 in his career on attempts from 50+ yards with that 81.8 percentage the best in NFL history since 1970 (min. 10 att.).

MISCELLANEOUS GAME NOTES Broncos QB scored his first career in the second quarter to tie the game at 7‐7. The rookie player, who was drafted by Denver in the first round (25th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft from the University of Florida, saw his first playing time since Denver’s first offensive drive in its regular‐season opener and became the first rookie quarterback in the NFL this season to score a touchdown. He finished with six carries for 23 yards (3.8) avg.) and a score... LB Kevin Alexander and S Kyle McCarthy played in their first NFL contests after the rookies were signed from Denver’s practice squad on Saturday. They join CB Cassius Vaughn to total three rookie college free agents that have played for Denver this season... LB D.J. Williams led the team with 11 tackles (8 solo) and added a sack (5 yds.) in the first quarter. Williams leads the club with 56 tackles (41 solo) and 2.5 sacks on the season... DL Marcus Thomas made his first start since the 2008 season and recorded his first career sack in the third quarter... RB Knowshon Moreno, who missed Denver’s previous three games due to injury, led the club with 12 rushes for 48 yards (4.0 avg.)... K Matt Prater’s missed field goal from 49 yards out in the third quarter snapped his streak of 18 consecutive field goals made dating to November 2009. The streak was one short of the franchise mark set by K Jason Elam on two occasions.
