Departments viz. PWD (R), PHE, etc. are engaged for restoration of road communications and other essential services.

2. Damage to Infrastructure:

1. Washout / breaches of : 42 breaches in embankments involving River Embankments / bunds Brahmaputra and 14 other Tributaries in 14 Districts have been reported till date.

Barak Valley: 1 breach is reported in River Longai in District.

Palliative Measures taken and being taken : Launching of bamboo structures, porcupines, strengthening by earth filled cement bags etc. 2. Roads • No. of Roads affected/damaged/over topped : 2847 • Breaches at 1741 points of 71.20 Km length. 3. Bridges • 11 Nos. of SPT bridges & 12 Nos. of culvert washed away. • SPT: 191 SPT bridges damaged o Approach to 307 SPT bridges damaged. • RCC: 1 RCC bridge collapsed. • Approach to 262 RCC bridges damaged. • 229 Culverts damaged Restoration cost: under assessment 4. Train Connectivity • The rail track has been extensively damaged by landslides in Lumding – Badarpur Railway Division affecting passenger and essential commodity movement, which is yet to be restored. • Harangajao to Badarpur section has been restored.

3. Rescue & Relief Operations:

No. of Persons evacuated Cumulative 3,70,265 Deployment of NDRF, SDRF, Army, • 16 teams of NDRF have been deployed for rescue operations in 9 CRPF, Airforce etc. districts. Deployed in 13 Districts viz., Barpeta, Dhemaji, , Dima-Hasao, (), Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), N.Lakhimpur, Nagaon,Nalbari, Sibsagar , Sonitpur and . • 7 Teams of Army Deployed in Barpeta, Dhemaji, Dima-Hasao, Sibsagar, Sonitpur and Tinsukia Districts • 18 teams of SDRF have also been placed in various districts. • Air force is extending necessary help.

State Government is taking steps to pay ex-gratia of Rs.1.50 Lakh to the next of kin of each deceased person. PMO has announced ex-gratia payment of Rs.1.00 Lakh. Hon’ble CM has also announced Rs.1.00 Lakh to the next of kin of the deceased person from CM’s Relief Fund.
