This Order may be cited as the Roads. (Speed Limit) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 1977 and shall come into operation on 8th August 1977. Revocation of previous directions 2. The directions contained in article 2 of the Roads .(Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 1956(c); article 2 of the Roads (Speed Limit) Order (Northern' Ireland) 1'957(d); l:trticle 3 of the Roads (Speed Limit) {No.2) Order (Northern lreland). 1958(e);. articles 3 and 4 o~ the Roads (Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 1977(f); relative to the lengths ·of road specified in Schedule 1 are hereby revoked. Speed restrictions on certain roads 3. Each of the roads specified in Schedule 2 shall be a restricted road ~or the purposes of section 43 of the Act .for its entire length except where other­ wise indicated in Schedule 2. 4. Each ·of the lengths of road specified iJ.1. Schedule 3 shall not be a restricted road for th~ purposes of section 43 of the Act. 'Increase of speed limit . 5. In relation to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 4 the rate of speed fixed by section 43(1) of the Act shall be increased to forty miles per hour.

It derestricts one sectio~ of road, reimposes new limits and extends some existing limits.
