MISSISSIPPI 2016 LEGISLATIVE ROSTER On behalf of the more than 1.8 million Mississippians who receive electric service from an electric power association, we are pleased to present the 2016 Mississippi Legislative Roster and salute the men and women who have chosen to serve. We share their love of this great state, where the nation’s first rural electric cooperative was formed in 1934. Our primary function is providing affordable and reliable electric service to our member/owners. They are hard-working, community-minded people who make valuable contributions to the quality of life we all enjoy. It is in this same spirit that we serve as their voice with elected officials, and we look forward to working with them to ensure Mississippi continues to be a great place to live and work. We are the Electric Power Associations of Mississippi, a statewide trade organization serving as the unified voice of all electric cooperatives in Mississippi. Our cooperatives, their employees and boards of directors, work tirelessly to ensure each member is represented and receives excellent service from his or her electric service provider. We will never lose sight of the importance of listening and responding to those we serve. Our success is based on a long-standing commitment to common goals and our members’ needs, and we are proud of our tradition of providing exceptional services along with superior customer service. We are especially pleased with our leadership role in the continual development of the communities we serve. Working together, we have the power to move Mississippi forward!
