NEW YORK RANGERS PROSPECT REPORT: OCT. 7

1. Nico Gross recorded five points (four goals, one assist) and a plus-four rating in three games during the past week, as he registered a in all three games during the week, and he recorded his first career OHL hat trick on Oct. 4 vs. North Bay. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (101st overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has registered six points (four goals, two assists) and a plus-five rating in his first seven games of the 2019-20 season with Oshawa (OHL). After recording four goals in 58 games in his rookie season in the OHL in 2017-18 and three goals in 56 OHL games last season, Gross has already tied his OHL career-high in goals in 2019-20. He is tied for first among OHL defensemen in goals and power play goals (two) this season. Gross is also tied for second on Oshawa in goals, and he leads team defensemen in points thus far in 2019-20.

2. Karl Henriksson registered five assists/points and posted a plus-five rating over back-to-back games on Oct. 5 against Malmo’s J20 team and Rogle’s J20 team, and he tallied an assist on five of the eight goals Frolunda’s J20 team registered in the two contests. The Rangers’ second round pick (58th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft has registered 11 points (two goals, nine assists) and a plus-nine rating in nine games with Frolunda’s J20 team in SuperElit this season. He is tied for eighth in SuperElit in assists thus far this season. Henriksson has also won 107 of 176 faceoffs thus far in 2019-20 (60.8%), and he leads all players in SuperElit in faceoff wins this season.

3. Nils Lundkvist recorded an assist and averaged 22:16 of ice time in two (SHL) games with Lulea during the past week. The Rangers’ first round pick (28th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has registered seven points (one , six assists), has posted a plus-five rating, and has averaged 22:27 of ice time in eight SHL games with Lulea in 2019-20. Lundkvist ranks fifth in the SHL (min. two games played) in average ice time, is tied for sixth in the SHL in plus/minus rating, and is tied for eighth in the league in assists this season. Among SHL defensemen, Lundkvist is tied for third in assists, ranks fourth in points, and is tied for fourth in plus/minus rating this season. In addition, among all SHL players younger than 20 years old, Lundkvist (who is 19 years old and turns 20 years old

on July 27, 2020) ranks first in assists, points, and average ice time, and he is tied for first in plus/minus rating.

• Joey Keane tallied a goal/point in both of Hartford’s games during the past week, and he registered his first career AHL goal/point while making his AHL debut on Oct. 5 vs. Charlotte. The Rangers’ third round pick (88th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft was the only AHL defenseman who recorded two goals during the past week, and he was also the only AHL rookie (forward or defenseman) who registered two goals during the past week. Keane split last season between the and of the (OHL), and he registered 39 points (eight goals, 31 assists) and a plus-11 rating in 66 games.

• Igor Shesterkin made 26 saves to earn his first career AHL win while making his AHL debut on Oct. 5 vs. Charlotte. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (118th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft posted a 24-3-1 record, along with a 1.11 GAA, a .953 SV%, and 10 SO. Shesterkin’s 1.11 GAA was the second-best in one season in KHL history, and his .953 SV% was tied for the second-best in one season in the league’s history. In addition, his 10 shutouts in 2018-19 were tied for the third- most in one season in KHL history. Shesterkin led the KHL in GAA and SV% last season, and he earned a win in his final 10 appearances of the regular season, posting a 0.60 GAA, a .974 SV%, and 5 SO in those 10 games.

• Sean Day registered two points (one goal, one assist), including the game-winning goal in overtime, and posted a plus-two rating on Oct. 6 vs. Bridgeport. The Rangers’ third round pick (81st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft tallied 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in his final 23 AHL games of the season in 2018-19.

• Filip Chytil tallied two assists on Oct. 6 vs. Bridgeport, including one on the game- winning goal in overtime, and he posted a plus-three rating over Hartford’s two games during the past week. He has registered 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 48 career AHL games. Chytil recorded 31 points with Hartford in 2017-18, which was tied for the 12th-most points in one season by a player younger than 19 years old in the AHL’s history.

• Vinni Lettieri registered a goal/point in each of Hartford’s two games during the past week (two goals, one assist). He established AHL career-highs in several categories last season, including assists (25), points (48), points per game (1.00), and shots on goal (182), and tied his career-high in goals (23). Lettieri was one of

three AHL players who tallied at least 20 goals while playing in fewer than 50 games in 2018-19. In addition, he led Hartford in goals, points per game, and shots on goal, and ranked fourth on the team in points last season.

• Ryan Lindgren recorded a goal on Oct. 6 vs. Bridgeport, and he posted a plus-four rating in the Wolf Pack’s two games during the past week. He was one of seven AHL players who posted a plus-four rating during the past week. Lindgren registered 12 assists/points and 94 minutes in 65 games during his first full season in the AHL in 2018-19. He ranked 13th among AHL defensemen in penalty minutes – and tied for third among all AHL rookies – in penalty minutes last season. In addition, Lindgren tied for seventh among AHL defensemen in their U21 season or younger in games played in 2018-19.

• Gabriel Fontaine notched an assist/point in each of the Wolf Pack’s two games during the past week. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (171st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft established AHL career-highs in games played (72), goals (11), assists (15), and points (26) with the Wolf Pack last season.

• Tyler Wall earned a win in both of his two appearances during the past week against Alabama-Huntsville, as he only allowed one goal in each game and stopped 30 of 32 shots he faced (.938 SV%) in the two contests. He was one of three NCAA who earned two wins during the past week. Wall’s 1.00 GAA during the past week was tied for the third-best in the NCAA, and his .938 SV% was tied for the fifth-best in the NCAA over the span. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (174th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft is in his senior year with UMass-Lowell. Wall posted an 11-7-3 record, along with a 2.09 GAA, a .921 SV%, and 4 SO in 22 appearances with UMass-Lowell last season.

• Olof Lindbom stopped 23 of 24 shots he faced and earned a win on Oct. 4 against Vita Hasten. The Rangers’ second round pick (39th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has stopped 56 of the last 59 shots he has faced with Mora in Allsvenskan (.949 SV%). Lindbom has appeared in four games with Mora this season, and he has posted a 2.71 GAA and a .913 SV%. He has made 115 saves in his four appearances this season (28.8 saves per game).

• Tarmo Reunanen tallied an assist, registered six attempts, and posted a plus-one rating while skating in a game-high 22:35 of ice time with in on Oct. 5 against TPS. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (98th overall) in the 2016

NHL Entry Draft has skated in two games in Liiga thus far this season, and he has registered 11 shot attempts in the two contests. Reunanen established Liiga career- highs in several categories last season, including games played (58), goals (six), assists (19), and points (25). He led Liiga defensemen in their U21 season or younger in goals and points, and ranked second among Liiga defensemen in their U21 season or younger in assists in 2018-19. Reunanen is one of five defensemen in Liiga who recorded at least 25 points during the regular season in either their U21 season or younger since 2009-10 (along with Sami Vatanen, Esa Lindell, Ville Pokka, and Sami Niku).

• Hunter Skinner has registered five points (two goals, three assists) and a plus-six rating through his first five career Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games with the London Knights. The Rangers’ fourth round pick (112th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft is tied for seventh among OHL defensemen in their U19 season or younger in points thus far in 2019-20.

• Lauri Pajuniemi has tallied two goals through his first seven games of the season with TPS in Liiga in 2019-20. Among players in their U21 season or younger in Liiga this season, Pajuniemi (who was selected by the Rangers in the fifth round, 132nd overall, of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft) is tied for ninth in goals in 2019-20.

• Morgan Barron was named a tri-captain for for the 2019-20 season, and he is the only junior who is one of the team’s captains this season. The Rangers’ sixth round pick (174th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft was also named to the ECAC Pre-Season All-League team in 2019-20. Barron was named to ECAC Hockey's First All-Star Team and the All-Ivy League First Team as a sophomore in 2018-19, and he was also selected as a finalist for ECAC Hockey’s Best Defensive Forward last season. Barron led Cornell in several categories in 2018-19, including goals (15) and points (34).

• Tyler Nanne was named one of the University of Minnesota’s captains for the 2019-20 season. The Rangers’ fifth round pick (142nd overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft established collegiate career-highs in games played (38), goals (five), assists (eight), and points (13) as a junior last season.
