Government Recognized Clinical Psychologist Experience : Last 33 years Other Information : President and Founder Member of Navjeevan Vikas Sanstha working for the education and rehabilitation of specially able children from last 32 years. Navjeevan Vikas Sanstha : Founder member and director of the Institute. Working honorary for specially able children. After doing M.A. in Psychology and completed Diploma in Mental Retardation allied activities in Sangli District. This was the first school in Sangli for doing such type of work. On that time worked three levels such as giving education to disable children, counseling to parents and develop awareness in society. Developing different individual methods to make improvement in children. And use new education techniques and created different models of teaching. H.O.D. of Psychology Department & K.W.C. Arts and Science from 1987 Contribution to develop department. Started clinical psychology on P.G. level in 2000. This is the first center in Shivaji University Kolhapur. Started Criminal Psychology as a COC. To motivate students arranged seminar , group discussion, brain storming and other methods. Introduce practical work with psychiatrist. Arranged various programmes to develop awareness in society about mental health. To guide students for research paper and projects. Develop and started syllabus for Diploma in Counselling. Develop and started syllabus for Diploma in Child Psychology. Establish De-addiction centre.     Tattva-Journal of Philosophy 2017, Vol. 9, No. 2, 23-32 ISSN 0975-332X│https://doi.org/10.12726/tjp.18.3 Tracing Giftedness: An Exploration of Theories, Programmes and Emerging Dilemmas Anupama Mahajan* Abstract In the recent years, the conception of giftedness in children has garnered a lot of attention from educationists and psychologists in India. Children marked as gifted are said to display above average abilities as compared with their peers. In this paper, I attempt to show that despite multiple notions and theories of giftedness, displaying exceptional abilities in mathematics and science seem to be the dominant focus and trend. In support of this claim, I list out the various Gifted and Talented Programmes of Giftedness in India. By exploring the various landscapes of excellence across diverse schooling environment, I draw from my doctoral research to highlight the ways in which giftedness is socially circulating and the factors that produce, and the processes that enable and sustain it. Through this study, I hope to contribute to the sociology of education in terms of understanding middle class / elite aspirations with regard to education of their children, elite parenting practices, conceptions of giftedness and how „cultural capital‟ is transmitted from one generation to the next. In recognition of their high educational quality, Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) has awarded the facility accreditation as ’a Centre of Surgical Education and Training’ making it the first centre to achieve this status in India.
