NEW FACES ABOUND When taking a look at the 2003 roster new names are very evident. Only one Florida player (Brian Rose) has played for four years, while only five players have played for three years (Ben Harrison, Matt Maley, Ben Hedgecock, Matt Bomeisl, Tom Potter).

ROSE WAS A ROCK Senior Brian Rose became a mainstay behind the plate for Florida the last two seasons. Entering this season, Rose had started in 127 consecutive games before missing the first three this season. In his two seasons he batted .281 (132-of-470) with 29 doubles, 10 homers and 91 RBI. Rose is by far the most experienced Gator player with 209 more at bats (Ben Harrison - 261 AB) than any other player on the roster this season. He also has thrown out 27.8 percent (44-of-158) of baserunners that have attempted to steal. Last season Rose caught 545.0 out of possible 579.0 innings (94.1 percent) that Florida played.
