India is considerd as “Guru” to all the nations of the world. “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam” is the principle manthra of Indian culture. A man sacrifice his life to the good of his nation and the people of his nation is the base of Indian education. Educational institutions are the work shops where a man gets good education and refines his life since his childhood. So the people of this village were dreaming to give such kind of education to their children.
The dream of the village people come true in the year 1981 when Shri Devi High School was started. The school building was constructed in the middle of the beautiful environment. Initially the school started at Pariyalthadka in the Punacha panchayath building. The school building was constructed at Devinagara with the effort of each and every villagers including the students who were studying in this school. They worked day and night with a single goal. These days were very crucial for the children to get high school education.They had to travel 12 to 15 kms with minimum transportation facility, most of the time by walking. It was the great obstacle to the women education. Later the school was successful in obtaining the complete suport from “Vivekananda Vidhyavardhaka Sangha Puttur” and came under its administration. The school was started with the determination of providing education on Indian culture. Education is not complete only by providing reading and writing. It will be completed by giving education to lead a successful healthy life style of India. The students get the extra curricular activities such as yoga, singing, sanskrit, yakshagana, physical education etc in our school. The school celebrates all the national festivals and gives motivation to become a good citizens and do good to our nation.

Most of the students of our school are the children of farmars, labourers, sheduled caste and tribes. The school helps in providing good education contributing and increasing their love towerds their nation, strengthening their physical, emotional and cognitive abilities.
At present school is integrating new fecilities of technology with the basic ideology of providing education which would help the present generation of students to cop up with corporate lifestyle with the foundation of real Indian culture. Now the school is providing good knowledge of basic information technology with computer lab, scientific experiments in science lab. The habit of reading is encouraged with good library fecility. The students are encouraged to participate in competetive examinations.
The skills in the students have been recognised and quided towerds the path of sucuss. The routine of our school starts with Saraswathi vandana, Meditation etc. We give importance to the time management, cleanliness and singing patriotic songs.
We have been succeeding in scoring good results with all level of children from low and high abilities. Extra attention will be given to the students who are facing difficulty with curriculum in positive out growth of the result.

THe BRIEF REPORT OF THE YEAR 2013-14
Shri Devi High School is working under Shri Devi Vidya Kendra. Shri Devi High School was started in 1981.This year is the 32 nd Academic year. This institution is working under Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Puttur.
Qur institution basically have the intention of teaching patriotism, Indian culture, discipline, service, general knowledge, humbleness, self-confidence, religious faith, scientific knowledge and passion on invironment with education.
Now there are 10 teaching staffs, 3 office staffs and cook in our high school. There are 109 boys and 105 girls among 214 students. There are 68 pupils in 8 th standard, 82 in 9 th and 64 in 10 th standard. We secured 96% of result in last S.S.L.C examination. 49 students were passed in the first attempt and remaining 2 were passed in the supplementary exam held in June. So we got 100% of result. Since last 3 years, we provided special coaching class for the slow learners of S.S.L.C batch and because of it there is a drastic change in the result also.
Co-curricular Activities: Apart from curriculum teaching, we have yakshagana, dance, singing classes, Ghosh vadana training and so on. Student’s clubs like Science club, literature club, sports club, consumersclub, health club are also at work. “Hosa Belaku” is a weekly magazine in which students articles will be published. Sports meet, Prathibha Keranji, Ramayana, Mahabharatha exams, Sanskrithi jnana Sarala Sanskruta and such talent exams will be conducted every year and there is student’s active participation in it.
This year, the Taluk level kho-kho competition was organized here. Blood grouping of the students was also held this year. School Excursion was conducted by the end of November. 10 old computers were doneted by Vivekananda Engineering college, Puttur. Some books are donated by Sri S.R.Rangamoorthy and Sri Muliya Shankara Bhatta to school library. Health programme was sponsered by vittala jaycee.
Festivals : Festivals like Raksha bandhana, Guru pooja, Sharada pooja, Welcoming ceremeny, Ekatha day celebration, Gandhi jayanthi, Kannada Rajyotsava and all the national days were celebrated this year.
Infrastructures (facilities): Play ground, library, ceremony hall, kitchen Room, bore well, water facility, toilets, school forest, medicinal plants are there in the school premises. The “Akshara Dasoha” building is under construction. Free midday meal and free text books are provided. The interest on fixed deposit by the well wishers of the native and abroad are used in giving prizes and scholarships for the students.
Requirements : computer batteries, UPS are already provided. But they need other supplements. We have a plan for hostel. Therefore we need monetary assistance for payments and other expences. So we require the help of the senior students, parents and well wishers of our school. With the hope of your help I conclude this report.

Shri Devi High School is working under Shri Devi Vidya Kendra. Shri Devi High School was started in 1981.Today Shri Devi High School is in 33 nd Academic year. This institution is working under Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Puttur.
The institution have the intention of teaching patriotism, Indian culture, discipline, service mind, general knowledge, humbleness, self-confidence, religious faith, scientific knowledge and passion on lnvironment with education.
Now there are 10 teaching staffs, 3 office staffs and cook in high school. There are 105 boys and 98 girls among 203 students. We secured 95% of result by the last S.S.L.C examination. There are 68 pupils in 8 th standard, 82 in 9 th and 64 in 10 th standard. We secured 96% of result in last S.S.L.C. 56 students were passed out of 59 students. Since, last two years we provided special coaching for the slow learners of S.S.L.C batch and because of it there is a drastic change in the result also.
Co-curricular Activities : Apart from curriculum teaching, we have yakshagana, dance, singing classes, Ghosh vadana training and so on. We have planted some plants provided by the forest department. This year the Taluk level kho-kho match was conducted this year. Bhavith the student of 9 th standerd has made a great achievement in karate.
Late Mr.Kuria Vitala Shastri’s birth centenery programme was also held on this year. Aids awareness programme was conducted by the health depertment. “Sneha Sangama” programme was held by the senior students of this school.

The Brief report of the year 2014-2015
Shri Devi High School is working under Shri Devi Vidya Kendra. The school was started in 1981 . Today Shri Devi High School is in 34 th academic year. The school is running under Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur. The day to day activities of the school are supervised under the local governing council called Shri Devi Vidya Kendra.
The main intention of the institution are to educate pupils to build up the patriotism, self descipline, our culture, service, obedience, self awareness, general knowledge etc.
In this school there are 10 teaching staffs, 3 office staffs and a cook are working. There are 99 boys and 101 girls among 200 students. In 8 th standard 53, 9 th standard 69 and in 10 th standard 78 students are studying in school. Last year the school secured 91% of result in S.S.L.C examination. From the last 4 years the school gives a special coaching classes at night time for slow learners and getting a satisfactory result in the examination.
Co-curricular activities :- In school we give importance to karate, patriotic songs, singing, ghosh vadana, school parliaments, students clubs like Science club, literature club, sports club, consumers club, health club are also at work. “Hosa Belaku” is a weekly magazine in which students articles will be published. Sports meet, Prathibha Karanji, Ramayana, Mahabharatha exams, Samskrithi jnana, Sarala Samskruta and such talent exams will be conducted every year and there are students active participation in it. The old students of the school have donated c.c. cameras to school. At the beginning of the year we celebrated the Praveshothsava. We planted the vegitable plants in the school under the guidence of ‘Grama Vikasa Parishath’. For the safety purpose we set up “Suraksha Saptaha” in the school. In each year we are arranging the parents meeting. In the meeting we discussed the progressive way for the children to improve their studies. For this purpose we wish some economic help from the parents and the well wishers.

A special guidance was given to S.S.L.C students by the Jaycee Club. We conducted “Swachha Bharatha Andolana” in our school and trained the students to clean the environment. Saraswathi credit co-operative society Puttur also helped us giving two big waste paper drums to the school. Saraswathi I.T.I of Puttur have given the guidance to the students about what we have to choose after S.S.L.C. Syndicate Bank guided the ‘Jandhan ‘ programme introduced by the Central Government.

The interest amount of Fixed Deposit which is deposited by the well wishers are used in giving prizes and scholarships for the students. By the help of our old students the school has two “Aqua Guards”. A bus had already given by a donar to our school for help the students.
