1:30 Check in Hotel – Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan - (212) 977-4000 – A true star among Times Square Hotels, the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan offers upscale modern accommodations in the energetic heart of Times Square. This will be your hotel for the next 2 nights. You may use this time to rest or stroll around the city and enjoy Times Square! On our next day we will visit the 9/11 Memorial, however we do not have a planned visit to the 9/11 Museum. If you would like to visit the Museum during this time we recommend spending about 2 hours there and the cost is $18. Other suggested and fun activities are shopping on Canal Street, visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art ($17), the Museum of Modern Art ($18), or the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum ($18). **These prices are for senior admissions. If under 65, price may increase slightly. **

5:15 Depart for Dinner – Note: due to extreme traffic walking will be our best option for some of the Manhattan events. Please wear good shoes.

5:30-7:30 Depart for Dinner Heartland Chop House & Brewery Times Square – Savor a delicious meal at Heartland Chop House. Known for the finest craft beers in NYC and awarded best all around American food. Your meal tonight will be delightful. 8:00-10:30 Enjoy our first Broadway Musical – Escape To Margaritaville. The Jimmy Buffett feel good musical that finds the joy of living in the moment. Featuring both original songs and your most loved Jimmy Buffett classics. Get ready for a hilarious and heart- warming show set in a tropical paradise. After the show we will return to the hotel.

Sunday, August 5th

7:30 Breakfast at the Hotel

8:15 Depart hotel by Motor coach. Box lunches can be ordered for today and will be on the motor coach after Ellis Island.

9:00-12:00 Depart hotel for The and Ellis Island Cruise – no visit to New York City is complete without a trip to two of the world’s most famous historical landmarks – the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Enjoy your up close experience to the Statue of Liberty and embrace the history and trace your family roots that is held within Ellis Island. We will catch the 11:30 boat back from Ellis Island to meet our guide.

12:00-2:30 New York City Site Tour including 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street, and Trinity Church – The National September 11th Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of 9/11 at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon and the World Trade Center bombing in 1993. This beautifully designed Memorial features twin reflecting pools and the names of every person who died in the attacks inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools. Tour Wall Street, home of the New York Stock Exchange. Wall Street is the financial district of New York City which makes New York City one of the world’s principal financial centers. The First Trinity Church was constructed in 1698 and through its 2 reconstructions; it has continued to serve as a place of peace and deep rooted history in the heart of Lower Manhattan.

3:00 -5:00 Broadway Musical #2 Come From Away! Based on the true story of when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander’s air strip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family. This all new musical is breathtaking and directed by Tony winning Christopher Ashley.

Monday, August 6th

11:30– 2:30 Arrive in West Point, New York for lunch at the Thayer Hotel and Military Academy Tour. The Military Academy’s mission is to educate, train and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared to serve as an officer in the United States Army. Take a tour of the West Point Military Academy where such inspiration begins. The historic Thayer hotel is located on the grounds of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Today’s lunch will be at MacArthur’s Riverview Restaurant, a renowned West Point restaurant. With its Gothic windows and Old World charm, it sets the stage for a truly unique dining experience. Overlooking the Hudson River, the restoration team has recaptured the glory and grandeur of this nearly century-old national historic treasure.

7:30-9:00 Dinner at Sorges – a Corning family dining tradition since 1951. Sorge’s is a family owned and operated restaurant which reminds dedicated to consistently providing the finest Italian/American food in a family atmosphere where you will always feel welcomed! This delicious meal will be a great ending to our fun-filled day. After dinner we will return to the hotel.

Tuesday, August 7th

8:45-1:30 Corning Museum of Glass. At the Corning Museum of Glass, see more than 35 centuries of glass artistry in the galleries, explore glass innovations, and watch live glass demos! You will also have an opportunity to make your own glass. Lunch is on your own. As we depart we will take the Trail Drive whose spectacular beauty and glacially-deposited soils inspired early grape cultivation and the birth of America’s wine industry in 1860.

2:00-4:00 Visit Watkins gorge – is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. The gorge path winds under and over and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. You will hear all about the geological history of the area and how the gorges were formed.

4:15-5:45 Wine Tasting at Glenora Winery – Located on Seneca Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes Wine Country Glenora Winery offers up delicate wines and picturesque views. As Seneca Lake’s very first winery and a staple of the region for nearly 40 years, Glenora wines have won numerous awards. All of the wines are made and bottled right on the premises.

6:00-9:00 Dinner at Captain Bills &Seneca Harbor Station and after dinner sunset sight-seeing cruise. Tonight, you’re sure to enjoy the exceptional dining and spectacular water front views. After dessert, it just gets sweeter as we board a beautiful mahogany vessel for a sightseeing tour of Seneca Lake.

Wednesday, August 8th

Breakfast this morning is on your own – bags out and clear incidentals by 9:30 This morning you can take it slow or hop over to the Gaffer district for breakfast and shopping.

12:15-3:15 Lunch and visit at the New York Wine and Culinary Center – the mission at the New York Wine & Culinary Center is to educate, engage, and excite our visitors by celebrating and showcasing New York’s finest in wine, food, and agriculture. They offer you an array of inviting experiences in a setting that proudly highlights the natural beauty, rich history, and agricultural bounty of New York State.

5:00-5:45 Check in and freshen up at the Lofts On Pearl (716)-768-1130. Located in the historic Richardson Romanesque J.A. Webb building, one- and two-bedroom suites combine modern amenities and boutique charm.

6:15 Depart for Dinner

6:30 Board the Grandlady for a beautiful dinner cruise. Aboard this 80’ yacht a delicious meal is served and an evening of splendor experienced. Cruising the Buffalo River out to Lake Erie the sunset views are memorable.

4:00-5:00 Optional Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour in Niagara – highly recommended the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour is an adventure. Prepared to get wet on this thrilling whitewater boat tour. For those that do not wish to partake in the Jet Boat Tour you may spend this time in Lewiston exploring Center Street or even walk to The Silo Restaurant, featured on Man vs. Food.
