THIRD GRADE: 1st Place “Imagine A Confetti World” by Rozanitzia Grace Warner Elementary School

8 9 Do you like to imagine? Well, imagine a “Confetti World.” In my Confetti World, skin color, size, religion, language, beliefs, and gender mean belonging.

11 Yes, all to one kind, human kind. Imagine being able to go to school without fear of being bullied. Being able to attend school with only worrying about learning.

13 Enjoying playing with friends and being a happy child. Imagine a world where career choices are not limited. Imagine being

15 a powerful, successful woman with full equality across race, class, and gender identity. Imagine being able to go anywhere in the world and not

17 being discriminated for wearing a hijab, speaking a foreign language, skin color, gender identity, and sexual orientation. But instead, be respected

19 because we are all equal. We all bleed the same color!

In my Confetti World, family does not have just one meaning.

21 Family comes in all shapes and sizes. Family means respect, love, joy, peace, kindness, and happiness. There is nothing better than to be part of a happy

23 and healthy family. In my Confetti World, every child has a family who takes care of them and provides for them. In my Confetti World, all children

25 are happy children full of joy. It’s not hard to imagine a Confetti World. It’s not hard to dream of a perfect world. But what if my Confetti World became

27 Imaginea reality? a world As wherehumans noand one part had of cancer. a society, Itwe would can reallybe great try andto make noour one world would a betterget sick. place. We can respect each other. We can do our best to

29 have clean waterways, and we can stop deforestation and not hurt the environment. We only have one planet, and as part of planet Earth, we should all

31 take care of our Mother Nature.

My imagination has taken me to visualize a Confetti World that I really wish would be a reality. All of

33 us would benefit from a wonderful, peaceful world. I believe that by working every day at being a better person, we can make amazing things happen. Let’s start

35 today! Imagine, believe, and dream great things.
