MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA AWAITS... The Pac-12 descends upon Las Vegas this week for the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Thursday, March 11 - Saturday, March 14 ... ARIZONA, which captured its third Pac-12 regular season title in five years, enters the Tournament as the top seed ... The Wildcats and the No. 4 seed UCLA Bruins have each won a league-best four conference tournament crowns, while No. 2 seed OREGON and No. 11 seed WASHINGTON have won three each ... Five different schools have won the Pac-12 postseason title over the last six years ... Conference honors have been announced and Oregon’s Joseph Young was tabbed the Pac-12 Player of the Year, Arizona’s Stanley Johnson the Freshman of the Year, Oregon State’s Gary Payton II the Defensive Player of the Year, Washington State’s Josh Hawkinson the Most Improved Player of the Year, and Oregon’s Dana Altman the Coach of the Year. The senior Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio (University of Dayton, host) followed with a game-high 21 points in ASU’s 74-70 victory against CALIFORNIA, his final home game as a Sun Devil, pulling down another seven boards and dishing two assists, two steals and a block. McKissic SECOND & THIRD ROUNDS shot 15-for-28 (.536) from the field in the two games, adding an 11-for-13 (.846) mark from the free-throw Thursday, March 19 & Saturday, March 21: line and a 3-for-7 (.429) mark from three-point range. ASU finished the season with a 15-3 record at home, Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Fla. adding to an overall 47-8 home record over the past three years.
