Barnsdale is a classic village house constructed in part from Suffolk white brick and part from mellow red brick under predominantly pitched slate roofs.

The house has enormous period character with features that include large sash windows, open fireplaces, decorative cornice work and ceiling rosettes, French windows and exposed wooden floors.
