2013 Dr. Hammond became the official veterinarian for the Puppy Rescue Mission, Inc. whose primary mission is to assist pet rescue, foster, and rehome pets bonded with soldiers deployed in Afghanistan and other war zones. They fly pets home from overseas, provide medical care, vaccines and foster homes until the GI’s complete their tours of duty and return home.

2011- Present Official Veterinarian: Maryland State Police K-9 Unit created a new program to provide free veterinary care to the police dogs. Potential savings to the state of $183,000 per year.

2010 Baltimore Child Abuse Center: Initiated and funded service dog health care and nutrition.

2008 Initiated a pilot program in Maryland Public Schools. Lesson plans in science, math, geography, language, and arts.

2005 Canine and Feline Population Control research -- assisting in the development of immunocontraceptives for canines and felines.

2005 – Present Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project: Rwanda, Congo, Uganda Established a training program for all the non-US Veterinarians.
