he first ever TGrundisburgh Midsummer Music, on Saturday 23 June, was a great success. In spite of the rain, which came and went in torrents during the afternoon, music continued from 2.30pm until 7.30pm. Performing on the specially made stage were St Mary’s Church Choir and Grundisburgh Primary School Choir, the established groups ‘Dreams Within Nightmares’, ‘Automatic Impression’, ‘Baby Jane’ and ‘The Longdogs’. There was ‘Carolle, Biddy and Co’, who formed for the day, and Drew Cable who performed solo, plus Westrafelda Morris, Barrel Organist Paul Garwood and Mike Johnson on bones. Church organist John Cooper played Jazz Piano. It was a wide variety of talent performing rock, pop, jazz, country, folk, classical, choral, Mozart on electric guitar .... Not only were there many different musical styles, there was a wide variety of age groups in the audience. The event certainly appealed to a very broad range of people. The local musicians and performers all gave their time Photos clockwise from top for free.
