1 ENTRY AND REGISTRATION See General Instruction 4 2 NOTICES TO COMPETITORS The Official Notice Board is located on veranda of the RCYC clubhouse. 3 RADIO COMMUNICATION. 3.1 The Race Committee will be making announcements on VHF channel 09 3.2 Also see General Sailing Instruction 18 4 THE START 4.1 The start for each class will be made using Rule 26 with the warning signal for each class given five minutes before the start for that class. 4.2 The warning signal for the first start is 1055. 4.3 There will be an interval of at least one minute between a start and the warning signal for the next start. 4.4 The order of starts and their class flags are as follows:

5 MARKS, START LINE, FINISH LINE 5.1 Start Mark: Between the halyard carrying the orange flag on the Race Committee vessel and an orange tetrahedron, located 0.5 NM southeast of Centennial Pier on Centre Island. 5.2 Humber Park Mark: An orange tetrahedron located at approximately 43o 34.2’ N 079o 28.9’ W approximately 2.5 NM on a bearing of 180 magnetic from the lighthouse at the southwest end of Park, and 2.5 NM on a bearing of 100 magnetic from the Lakeshore Generating Station. 5.3 Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, “TE18”: a red buoy with a flashing red light, located at 43 36.3 N 079 23.5 W southwest of Gibraltar Point. 5.4 West Entrance Light and Bell Buoy “T” (Dufferin Bell Buoy): a red and white vertically striped Fairway Channel Marker, flashing Morse A (.-), located at 43o 37.2’ N 079o 25.2’ W south-southwest of Ontario Place. 5.5 Harbour Outer Approach Light, “T1”: a green buoy and flashing green light, located at 43o 36.65’ N 079o 21.0’ W approximately 0.35 NM southwest of the lighthouse on the Outer Harbour East Headland. 5.6 The Finish Mark: Between the Toronto Harbour Outer Approach Light “T1” and the halyard carrying an orange shape or flag on the Race Committee vessel. 6 COURSE DISCRIPTION: 6.1 Course 1: (signified by Code Flag “D”) 1. Start, 2. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to starboard, 3. West Entrance Light and Buoy, left to port, 4. Humber Park Mark, left to port, 5. Toronto Harbour Outer Approach Light “T1”, left to port, 6. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to starboard, 7. Humber Park Mark, left to port, 8. Finish. Course 2 (signified by Code Flag “R”) 1. Start, 2. Humber Park Mark, left to starboard, 3. West Entrance Light and Buoy, left to starboard, 4. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to port, 5. Toronto Harbour Outer Approach Light “T1”, left to starboard, 6. Humber Park Mark, left to starboard, 7. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to port, 8. Finish. Course 3 (signified by Code Flag “T”) 1. Start, 2. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to starboard, 3. West Entrance Light and Buoy, left to port, 4. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to port, 5. Toronto Harbour Outer Approach Light “T1”, left to port, 6. Gibraltar Point Light Buoy, left to port, 7. Finish. 6.2 Distance 25.2 NM will be used to determine corrected time, unless the course is shortened. 7 TIME LIMIT The time limit is 1800, Sunday September 30, 2012 Boats failing to finish within the time limit will be scored Did Not Finish. This changes rules 35 and A5. 8 PROTESTS AND ALTERNATIVE PENALTIES 8.1 Protest Forms and Alternative Penalty Acceptance Forms will be available from The Royal Canadian Yacht Club Sailing Office. 8.2 Protests shall be filed at The Royal Canadian Yacht Club Sailing Office within the time limits set out in the General Sailing Instruction 15.3. 8.3 Protests will be heard commencing at 1900 on October 3rd , 2012 at the RCYC City Clubhouse. 9 PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each class as well as the following annual awards:
