  • The Duke Robillard Band (Usa) „Indepently Blue” – Cd-Präsentation
    29. März bis 6. April 2014 Eine Veranstaltung der HIGHLIGHT THE DUKE ROBILLARD BAND (USA) „INDEPENTLY BLUE” – CD-PRÄSENTATION So, 30. März Kulturfabrik (Stieberstraße 7, 91154 Roth) 20 Uhr, bestuhlt VVK 22,80 €/AK 24 €/ZAC 18,60 € Es führt kein Weg an diesem Gitarristen vorbei. Er spielt fast 200 Gigs im Jahr und mit fast jedermann aus der Topliga des Musikerzirkels. Auch mit Bob Dylan auf dessen „Time Out Of Mind“.

  • Forward the Road to Austin Was a Magical Night of Friendship And
Forward The Road To Austin was a magical night of friendship and amazing music! The date was May 19, 2007 and over sixty artists performed for over 3.5 hours in front of 20,000 people. This event was designed to create and capture a heightened level of excitement towards understanding how and why Austin, Texas has become known as the “live music capital of the world”. The vision was to create a unique live musical showcase of local and world-renowned artists that are deeply rooted to the Austin music scene legacy. The production includes a scripted visual and musical experience delivered via state of the art theatrical staging technology and world class talent. The late Stephen Bruton was the musical director for the show and a founding member of the FORMAX Group. Our top-flight team of producers, directors, engineers, crew, and an amazing roster of performers seamlessly came together to accomplish this historic event. Stephen assembled a 15-piece world class house band and led them through a forty song setlist. The lineup was developed to include multiple genres of music, including poetry, and attempted to blend and blur this artistic diversity in order to deliver many never-seen-before collaborations. The panoply of celebrity headliners heightened the impact of the evening’s apex and afforded Austin’s local artists an opportunity to have these legends accompany them during their performances. A five-day rehearsal and staging period, occurring directly prior to the event was where all these critical components were perfected and new and old friendships magically collided to create a truly unforgettable evening.

  • David Grissom :: How It Feels to Fly Blue Rose/Sonic Rendezvous
David Grissom :: How It Feels To Fly Blue Rose/Sonic RendezVous The “eternal sideman” David Grissom has successfully been working on a solo career for a number of years now. With his 4th album, the exceptional Texan guitarist finally arrives where he belongs: on the Blue Rose label. With its roots/guitar/Americana roster, Blue Rose is the natural home for the Austin-based string wrangler and will contribute to his long-overdue breakthrough in Europe. How It Feels To Fly is the album title – and indeed, Grissom plays music that will elevate your spirits – be it at full volume in your home stereo or on stage. He will soon play his first headlining tour through German clubs! John Mellencamp, Joe Ely, James McMurtry, Storyville, Charlie & Bruce Robison, Chris Knight, the Allman Brothers, Robben Ford, Ringo Starr, John Mayall, Buddy Guy, Chris Issak and the Dixie Chicks can’t all be wrong. And those are only the most important cornerstones of Grissom’s career. The guitarist is the go-to guy when a singer-songwriter wants to up the rock factor of their music. David Grissom has succeeded in creating his own sound and a stellar reputation based on his bone-dry Keith-inspired riffing and his signature no frills-lead guitar attacks. But amid his busy schedule as a sidekick he has never lost sight of his true dream which he has been making come true since 2008: writing his own songs, singing them with a surprisingly charismatic voice, recording and producing them at home (Spicewood Studios, Texas) and … obviously, putting his inimitable style of playing the guitar in focus! In 2008 he debuted with the aptly titled Loud Music, followed by 10,000 Feet in the spring of ’09.

  • David Grissom Press Release 2010 Final
Asterope News Release GUITARIST LEGEND DAVID GRISSOM SELECTS ASTEROPE INSTRUMENT CABLES AS CABLE OF CHOICE AUSTIN, TEXAS, October 4 , 2010… Asterope today announced that legendary guitarist David Grissom has selected Asterope instrument cables as his cable of choice for performances and studio recordings. Grissom recently tested the Asterope cable against his previous favorite, a cable he had used for more than seven years, before switching to Asterope. In addition to his solo recording career, David Grissom has recorded and toured with a wide variety of other legendary artists. He is known for his early work with Joe Ely, after which he went on to perform with John Mellencamp. He then formed the critically acclaimed Storyville. He has toured or played with the Allman Brothers, the Dixie Chicks, John Mayall, Robben Ford, James McMurtry, Montgomery Gentry, Buddy Guy, LeeAnn Womack and Martina McBride. “A friend recommended Asterope to me,” said David Grissom. “I was very skeptical about ‘yet another cable.’ When I A/B’ed it against my favorite cable – one I had been using for seven years – I could hear a big difference. Asterope was the clear winner. It has warmer, fatter highs and clearer lows. Today, I use Asterope every time I play.” “David Grissom represents the type of iconic artist that is becoming the hallmark of our brand,” said Dariush Rad, Asterope founder and CEO. “Our goal as a company is to provide musicians with the best sound possible and to help them experience their music in a whole new way.” David Grissom now joins a number of elite musicians who have selected Asterope as their cable of choice, including Bob Babbitt, GRAMMY® Award-Winning Motown bass player, and Jack Pearson, renowned guitarist for the Allman Brothers.
