C 100/6 EN Offi cial Jour nal of the European Union 27.3.2020 COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION of 19 March 2020 correcting Commission Implementing Decision of 25 June 2019 on the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union of an application for amendment of a specification for a name in the wine sector referred to in Article 105 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (Dealurile Sătmarului (PGI)) (2020/C 100/06) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products and repealing Council Regulations (EEC) No 922/72, (EEC) No 234/79, (EC) No 1037/2001 and (EC) No 1234/2007 (1), and in particular Article 97(3) thereof, Whereas: (1) Romania has sent an application for amendment of the specification for the name ‘Dealurile Sătmarului’ with reference PGI-RO-A0107-AM01 in accordance with Article 105 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013. (2) The Commission has examined the application and concluded that the conditions laid down in Articles 93 to 96, Article 97(1), and Articles 100, 101 and 102 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 have been met. (3) In order to allow for the presentation of statements of opposition in accordance with Article 98 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013, the application for amendment of the specification for the name ‘Dealurile Sătmarului’ was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (2) on 2 July 2019. (4) Following this publication, it was established that the document published in the Official Journal of the European Union was not the latest version of the application for amendment of the specification for the name ‘Dealurile Sătmarului’ sent by Romania.

    Romania Page 1 of 13 Romania International Religious Freedom Report 2005 Released by the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor The Constitution provides for freedom of religion; while the Government generally respects this right in practice, some restrictions adversely affect religious freedom, and several minority religious groups continued to claim credibly that low-level government officials impeded their efforts at proselytizing and interfered with other religious activities. There was no overall change in the status of respect for religious freedom during the period covered by this report. The Government continues to differentiate between recognized and unrecognized religions, and registration and recognition requirements still posed obstacles to minority religions. The Government did not adopt a new law regulating religions; however, a draft law on religious freedom is under debate by the State Secretariat for Religious Denominations and the recognized religions. Unrecognized religions have not been given any role or say in the debate. The Government has not passed legislation to return to the Greek Catholic community the churches and church property transferred by the communists to the Orthodox Church in 1948, nor has it shown any inclination to do so. An international commission headed by Nobel Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel, set up in 2003 to study the Holocaust in Romania, presented its report, conclusions, and recommendations in November 2004, and state authorities acknowledged publicly the occurrence of the Holocaust in the country. In October 2004, the country commemorated its first annual Holocaust Remembrance Day with the Government organizing public events for the commemoration. The Government also took some steps towards introducing the issue of the Holocaust in the country in school curricula.

Conform Standardelor Internationale de evaluare IVS 1: Valoarea de piaţă este suma estimată pentru care o proprietate va fi schimbată la data evaluării, între un cumpărător decis şi un vânzător hotărât, într-o tranzacţie cu pret determinat obiectiv după o activitate de marketing corespunzătoare, în care părţile implicate au acţionat în cunoştinţă de cauză, prudent şi fără constrângere. Conform definiţiei de mai sus fiecare proprietate are o valoare de piaţă „la data evaluării” şi nu intr-o anumită perioadă de timp determinată subiectiv.

We analysed the trophic spectrum of six Bombina hybrid populations from Livada Forest. The most frequently consumed preys are dependent of the habitat, the omnipresent ones were Coleopterans, Dipterans and Arachnids. The Collembolans accidentally register a high abundance. The shed skin consumption is indirectly connected with the feeding intensity, suggesting the fact that it can be an additional food aspect, being rich in protein. Regarding the differences between the sexes, the large-sized preys present a majority in the case of the females and juveniles, respectively those rich in lipids (Lepidoptera larvae). Thus, their capture requires a lower amount of energy, which is needed in the growth and reproduction process. Most of the preys have a terrestrial origin. Key words: Bombina, hybrids, trophic spectrum, opportunistic feeding.     ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE FRAMEWORK CONVENTION FOR THE PROTECTION OF NATIONAL MINORITIES ACFC/OP/IV(2017)005 Fourth Opinion on Romania - adopted on 22 June 2017 Published on 16 February 2018 Summary The authorities in Romania promote respect and understanding in society and representatives of most national minorities report an overall embracing attitude prevailing between the majority and the minorities. The authorities have made efforts to promote minority cultures and education, and particular steps which have been taken to facilitate representation of national minorities in parliament are widely recognised and appreciated. The Law on Education remains the main legislative basis for teaching in and of national minority languages. A consolidated and coherent legal framework related to the protection of minority rights is lacking and the draft Law on the Status of National Minorities, proposed in parliament in 2006, has still not been adopted. Existing legislation regulating different aspects of national minority protection is disjointed, piecemeal, full of grey zones and open to contradictory interpretation. A coherent policy to guarantee access to minority rights is still lacking and respect of rights of persons belonging to national minorities varies according to local conditions and the goodwill of the municipal or regional authorities. Persistence of negative attitudes and prejudice against the Roma and anti-Hungarian sentiment is of considerable concern. Despite the resolute stance of the National Council for Combating Discrimination, court rulings and statements from the authorities, racist incidents continue to be reported. The revised Strategy for the Inclusion of Romanian Citizens Belonging to the Roma Minority – 2012-2020, adopted in 2015, sets targets in the key areas of education, employment, health and housing and addresses also promotion and protection of Roma culture and participation in public and political life.

    2019 Edgar Brutler Why? Not! Crișana, Romania Transylvania has always been a bit of white whale for us. I don’t think you can get further away from what we think of as Europe while still being in Europe. This is where horse carts often outnumber cars and self- sufficient agriculture is the norm. Literally translating to "beyond the forest," it also has an unbroken winegrowing tradition going back at least 2000+ years. Dionysus is believed to be born in Thrace (modern day Romania). It’s a surreal place where the language is Balkan Romance, the food is Hungarian with some key distinctions, and where the imprints of both the Middle Ages and Communism are frozen in time. Today, the Romania is 5th under vine in Europe, but many estimate that the average vineyard holding is 0.2 hectares, and just over 30% of the country’s vineyards are farmed in 10 hectares or more. Romania is essentially a net importer. In a feeble attempt to change these export figures, we’d like to introduce our first Romanian producer: Weingut Edgar Brutler. Edgar’s family was a part of the Swabian migration (hence Weingut) to Transylvania and arrived in the 1850s from Stuttgart. Edgar originally started down a musical path with violin at 6 followed by guitar at 16. He then studied oenology at Geisenheim because of the Romanian family vineyard. As Edgar puts it, “I was born there, my family lived there, my family worked these vineyards and walked this roads and paths.” Music still plays a big part in his life and an image of sound board levels adorn the label of the Grünspitz.
