GRADE POINT AVERAGE All Mastery coursework is graded on a 1-100 scale. QUARTILE GPA RANGE Anything below 76 earns zero credit. TOP 4.33 - 3.27 GPA is based on a 4.0 scale. AP courses are weighted SECOND 3.26 - 2.79 on a 5.0 scale. Summer school courses are pass/fail and weighted on a 3.0 scale. THIRD 2.78 - 2.26 GPA is calculated by multiplying the grade earned FOURTH 2.25 & BELOW by the course credit.

THE SCHOOL

Mastery Charter School – Pickett Campus is a high-performing, college-preparatory turnaround school serving students in Northwest Philadelphia. The school opened its doors as a Mastery public charter school in 2007 and currently has an enrollment total of 902 students in grades 6 through 12. The school enrolls 90% of its students from two low-income neighborhood elementary schools and serves as the local high school in Germantown. Pickett has been recognized by President Obama for its remarkable turnaround since 2007 and is now ranked in the top quartile by performance of all 80 public and public charter high schools in Philadelphia.

75% of our student body is classified as economically disadvantaged (qualifying for the Free/Reduced Lunch program) and 20% receive Special Education services. 95% of our students come from African-American ethnic backgrounds.
