KENT COUNTY COUNCIL A229 Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2020
To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford.
A closure is planned from 14th August 2020 for up to 2 nights between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE40190200501 - Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage on site and the works will be displayed on one.network
A229 Bluebell Hill will be closed in two phases, as detailed below.
The first phase will require a northbound closure between the junctions with Blue Bell Hill North Off Slip and Maidstone Road.
The alternative route for through traffic is via Blue Bell Hill Slip North Off, Lord Lees Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout and Maidstone Road.
The second Phase will require a southbound closure between the junctions with Maidstone Road and Blue Bell Hill Slip South On.
The alternative route for through traffic is via Maidstone Road, Bridgewood Roundabout, Lord Lees Roundabout and Bluebell Hill Slip South On.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while highway maintenance works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
