RGS5 ANTIBODY TARGET DESCRIPTION:

Synonym Names for RGS5 antibody: RGS5; MST092; MST106; MST129; MSTP032; MSTP092; MSTP106; MSTP129; RGS5; Regulator of G-protein signalling 5

Function: Inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. Binds to G(i)-alpha and G(o)-alpha, but not to G(s)-alpha (By similarity).

Similarity: Contains 1 RGS domain.

Summary: The regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) are signal transduction molecules that have structural homology to SST2 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and EGL-10 of Caenorhabditis elegans. Multiple homologous to SST2 are present in higher eukaryotes. RGS proteins are involved in the regulation of heterotrimeric G proteins by acting as GTPase activators.[supplied by OMIM].

Regulator of G-protein signaling 5 reacts with human, mouse, rat.

OMIM: 603276; gene. [NCBI / EBI]

APPLICATIONS for RGS5 ANTIBODY:
