Janikowski booted a 50-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, his 49th career field goal from 50-or-more yards out. He now trails Jason Hanson (52) by three for the all-time record from that distance. Janikowski’s four total points move him past Lou Graza (1,608) for sole possession of 15th place on the all-time scoring list. Woodson Picks Off Manning Twice S Charles Woodson recorded his 63rd and 64th career interceptions, and his first two of Peyton Manning, moving him into a tie with Ed Reed for 6th place on the all-time career interceptions list. Woodson joins Clay Matthews (39) and Darrell Green (41) as the only three NFL players 39-or-older to intercept a pass. Woodson is the only player in NFL history with two interceptions in a game at age 39 or older. Woodson now has eight career multi-interception games, the most of any active player and tied for 14th all- time. Woodson has an interception in three straight games for the third time in his career, with the last time coming from Nov. 4-18, 2007. He also did it from Dec. 17-31, 2006. Woodson now has 26 career interceptions as a Raider, moving him into eighth place in franchise history. Red Zone and Third Down Defense The Raiders defense held Denver to 0-3 in the red zone, benefitting from a pair of timely passes defensed and an interception in the red zone by S Charles Woodson. The Raiders last held an opponent to zero percent in the red zone on Nov. 16, 2014 vs. SD (0-for-1). The defense also held the Broncos to 2-of-12 on third downs for a 16.7 percent success rate, the fourth time in the last two years the team has held an opponent to less than 20 percent on third down. October 11, 2015 Stout Rushing Defense The Raiders defense held the Broncos to just 43 yards rushing on 18 attempts (2.4 avg.), the lowest opponent average on the season and the second lowest rushing total (39 at Cleveland). Carr’s First Half QB Derek Carr finished the first half 11-of-14 passing with 135 yards and one touchdown for a passer rating of 130.7, the highest first-half rating of his career. Carr now has six career 100-plus ratings through the first half of a game, including three this season and two against the AFC West (also Oct. 12, 2014 vs. SD). Carr finished the game 26-of-39 passing for 249 yards, one touchdown and one interception for an 82.1 passer rating. Reece Third in Receiving Touchdowns and Yards FB Marcel Reece hauled in his 12th career receiving touchdown, moving him into sole possession of third place for receiving touchdowns Raiders running backs or fullbacks. He now trails only Clem Daniels (24) and Marcus Allen (18) on the franchise list. Reece finished the game with a team-high seven receptions for 49 yards, also moving him past Charlie Garner (1,905) for the third most receiving yards by a Raiders running back or fullback. M. Smith Notches Second Sack LB Malcolm Smith recorded his second sack of the season, bringing down QB Peyton Manning for an 8-yard loss in the third quarter. Smith now has a career-high two sacks on the season, doubling his career total (two) entering this season. Smith finished the game with three solo tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit and one pass defensed, according to unofficial press box statistics. Edwards and A. Smith Combine for Sack LB Aldon Smith and rookie DE Mario Edwards Jr. combined for a 4-yard sack of Peyton Manning in the fourth quarter, giving Smith 1.5 on the year and Edwards his first career sack. Rivera Reaches 1,000 Career Yards TE Mychal Rivera eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for his career, finishing the game with three receptions for 33 yards. Amerson Makes an Impact; Ball Makes Plays Rookie LB Neiron Ball earned his first career start and made several key plays in the game, including one pass defensed and a stop of Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders on a punt return after just a 4-yard gain. Ball finished with two solo tackles on defense to go with the one special teams stop. CB David Amerson also made a few key plays in the game, finishing with five tackles (four solo) and one pass defensed. King’s Places Three Inside 20 P Marquette King proved to be a valuable weapon in the contest, punting four times for 207 yards (51.8 avg.) with a season-high three punts placed inside the 20-yard line. King’s long for the game was 61 yards. King also allowed the Broncos just four punt return yards, giving him an average net of 50.8 yards per punt. Manning Out of the End Zone The Raiders defense held Peyton Manning without a passing touchdown for the second time in Manning’s career, with the last time coming in their previous meeting, Dec. 28, 2014.
