OUTREACH INITIATIVES The following outreach initiatives were completed by the SEU during the reporting period: A. Management Training for EEO Compliance Salem’s Vice President of Human Resources conducts monthly HR Network Training sessions via teleconference and Power Point presentations, which includes review and discussion of EEO policies and compliance. The office manager routinely communicates with the General Manager and other management team members to keep all employees apprised of the company and station’s policy on equal employment opportunity. B. Job Fairs The SEU attended the following job fairs, where open job descriptions were available for attendees to consider, and resumes were accepted. 1. Business Manager participated at the Willow Creek job fair on September 22, 2020 2. Business Manager a participated in a virtual College of DuPage Career Services job fair on March 15, 2021 3. Events with Educational Institutions 1. 09/30/2020 The SEU’s Business Manager spoke virtually to students at District 214 College and Career Fair about broadcasting and career development 2. 10/06/2020 The SEU’s AM Host spoke virtually to students at Wheaton College about broadcasting and career development 3. 03/18/2021 The SEU’s, AM Host spoke virtually to students at Benedictine University about broadcasting and career development D. Job Banks and Internet Programs: The SEU participated in job banks and internet programs designed to provide general information about opportunities in broadcasting and to encourage individuals to consider future employment in radio broadcasting careers.
