FIRST AND THIRD MELLO YELLOW Dartmouth has scored almost as many goals in the third period as they have James Mello has started the last 12 games for the Big Green and has earned in the first. The award honors student-athletes who excel both Eric Robinson tallied his first collegiate points on Nov. 26 in an 8-2 victory on and off the ice. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be over Harvard as he tallied one goal and two assists. CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN Senior forward Scott Fleming is the 2010-11 Big Green captain. He is the 119th captain in Dart- mouth men’s hockey history. Classmates Adam Estoclet, Evan Stephens and Joe Stejskal will serve as the assistant captains.

WELCOME ABOARD Dartmouth welcomes six newcomers to the roster this season as two forwards, three defensemen and one goalie are welcomed into the fold.

NHL HOPEFULS Dartmouth has four players currently on its roster that were drafted by NHL teams in the entry draft. Sophomores Troy Mattila and Joe Stejskal were both taken before coming to Dartmouth while Mark Goggin was drafted in 2008 and Dustin Walsh in 2009.

DARTMOUTH AND THE NHL Lee Stempniak ’05 is in his sixth NHL season. He is currently in his second season with the Phoenix Coyotes where he recorded his first career hat trick on 10/21/10. Stempniak tallied his 100th career NHL point on 12/22/09. Tanner Glass ’07 is in his second year with the Vancouver Canucks. David Jones ’08 left school early to sign a contract with Colorado and has been a huge factor for the Avs in his four years. Ben Lovejoy ’07 has played 22 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and was on the roster when the Pens won the . Grant Lewis ’07 also saw some time in 2008-09 with the . T.J. Galiardi signed early and is on the same roster as fellow Big Green forward David Jones. J.T. Wyman played in his

Nick Johnson began his NHL career with Pittsburgh on Jan. 21, 2010 and has appeared in six games for the Pens. He’s tallied one goal and one assist in his time on NHL ice.

NHL PIPELINE Five former Big Green players began the 2010-11 NHL season on one of the league’s 30 rosters. Dartmouth currently has eight that are in the NHL system.

ECAC RECORD FOR NHL PLAYERS When former Big Green forward Nick Johnson was called up by the Pitts- burgh Penguins on Jan. 21, 2010 he became the seventh member of Dart- mouth’s ’06-’07 squad to reach the . That is believed to be an ECAC Hockey record for one team. Johnson joins Tanner Glass, T.J. Galiardi, David Jones, Grant Lewis, Ben Lovejoy and J.T.
