Dalton rehabilitation service provides a robust multidisciplinary programme of care for females with complex needs that will empower them to manage their own risk and recovery. The service is available for females who are: Dalton ward is a high dependency rehabilitation Aged 18 or over service for 13 females with severe and enduring Informal or detained under the Mental Health mental health disorders and challenging behaviour, Act 1983 (amended 2007) at Priory Hospital Middleton St George. ADMISSION We offer a wide range of Psychological treatments, Joint multidisciplinary team and patient which include: assessment of care needs using the ‘My Shared Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) Pathway’ framework Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) Formulation of risks Trauma-based therapy Review care plan Substance misuse work Identify therapeutic goals with patient Relapse prevention Develop care pathway Social and life skills training Collaborative engagement with partner agencies to facilitate plans Reactive Anger – CALM Problem solving skills training (PSST) TREATMENT PHASE Emotional management Monitor and stabilise mental state Mindfulness Ongoing review of pharmacological treatment Psycho-dynamic approaches Identification of any co-morbid needs The treatment environment is underpinned by the Engagement with OT to advance and improve following: ADLS Holistic biopsychosocial treatment Engagement with families and carers to support relationship development Evidence-based pharmacotherapy/medical management and medication Facilitate increased access to the community Concordance therapy Improve involvement in meaningful and enjoyable daily living activities Comprehensive physical health assessment and monitoring, including healthy lifestyle interventions PRE-DISCHARGE for diet management, exercising and smoking cessation Collaboratively work with home team to increase unescorted leave to re-engage with families and Individualised positive behavioural support plans communities Personalised daily activity schedule (structured day) Work with patient and community partner Skills acquisition and enhancement, vocational skills agencies training and education opportunities
