Flyeriv Trauersleuse Aktion IV* „Trauerschleuse“ Berliner Künstler gegen den Krieg Israels im Libanon Der seit Montag herrschende, Hoffnung bringende Waffenstillstand zwischen Israel und dem Libanon bedeutet leider noch lange nicht, dass die Menschen nun zum normalen Leben zurückkehren können. Denn durch diesen Krieg sind etliche Dörfer unbewohnbar und Wohnhäuser, Schulen, Krankenhäuser, landwirtschaftliche Anlagen etc. zerstört. Durch die fast vollständige Zerschlagung der zivilen Infrastruktur sind Schäden in Höhe von ca. 5 Milliarden Dollar entstanden. Eine zunächst abstrakt erscheinende Zahl, die sich jedoch schnell konkretisieren lässt: ¾ Alle drei libanesischen Flughäfen sowie die vier Häfen sind größtenteils zerstört. ¾ Mehr als 94 Hauptstraßen, Autobahnen und 70 Brücken wurden zerbombt. ¾ Ebenfalls zerstört wurden Funkstationen und mehr als drei Fernseh- und Radiosender. ¾ Zudem wurden Stromkraftwerke sowie Gas- und Öl-Stationen bombardiert und teilweise komplett zerstört. ¾ Komplett zerstört wurden zudem zahlreiche Fabriken (darunter die Lebensmittelindustrie) und Warenhäuser. ¾ Weiterhin gilt es, 15.000 Wohnungen bzw. Häuser für die Zivilbevölkerung wieder aufzubauen. Wir bitten deshalb die deutsche Regierung, statt der Entsendung einer Friedenstruppe, um eine schnelle Ausweitung humanitärer und wirtschaftlicher Hilfe für den Libanon. Zudem appellieren wir an die deutsche Regierung, die Waffenlieferungen an Israel sofort einzustellen und sich für die Aufhebung der See-, Land und Luftblockade einzusetzen, damit humanitäre Hilfe und zivile Güter den Libanon erreichen können. Darüber hinaus fordern wir die deutsche Regierung dazu auf, eine internationale Untersuchungskommission mit der Klärung der Kriegsverbrechen der israelischen Armee im Libanon zu beauftragen (weitere Details unter www.hrw.org). Wie kann dem Libanon geholfen werden? Durch generelle Unterstützung des Wiederaufbaus und durch dringende Sofortmaßnahmen: Der Libanon braucht medizinische Unterstützung: Medizinische Hilfe bedeutet dabei zum einen die Entsendung deutscher Ärzte, um Soforthilfe zu leisten und Leben zu retten. Denn es fehlen Kapazitäten, weil viele Einrichtungen von Bomben getroffen wurden. Zum anderen wird aber auch psychologische Betreuung für traumatisierte Kinder im Libanon dringend benötigt, damit nicht eine weitere, vom Krieg paralysierte Generation heranwächst. Darüber hinaus brauchen Hilfsprogramme Unterstützung: Der schulische Betrieb muss umgehend wieder aufgenommen werden, damit für tausende Kinder im Südlibanon der Zugang zu Bildung sichergestellt ist. Des Weiteren brauchen ambulante Zentren für die Betreuung von Frauen und Kindern, die ihre Väter bzw. Ehemänner, Häuser und Existenzen verloren haben, dringend Hilfe. Neben der humanitären Katastrophe hat aber auch das ökologische System des Libanon stark unter dem israelischen Bombardement gelitten. Denn die Zerstörung von Öl-Tanks an der Küste, hatte eine Verseuchung des Meeres durch auslaufendes Öl zur Folge, dessen Säuberung Millionen von Euro verschlingen wird. (weitere Informationen unter www.greenpeace.de ) Bitte spenden Sie! Bisher sind nur wenige Spendengelder für den Libanon aus privater Hand eingetroffen. Diese fehlende Spendenbereitschaft liegt wahrscheinlich daran, dass der Konflikt sehr undurchsichtig ist. Trotzdem sollten nicht Zivilisten darunter leiden müssen. Viele internationale Hilfsorganisationen haben deshalb eindringlich zu Spenden aufgerufen, die die Not leidende Bevölkerung erreichen werden. Die nachdrücklichen Bitten sollten ernst genommen werden.
