THIRTY-SEVENTH DAY Senate Chamber, Columbus, Ohio Tuesday, May 4, 2021, 9:30 a.m. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Pursuant to Senate Rule No. 3, the Clerk called the Senate to order. Senator Peterson was selected to preside according to the rule. The journal of the last legislative day was read and approved.

REPORTS OF STANDING AND SELECT COMMITTEES Senator Gavarone submitted the following report: The standing committee on Local Government and Elections, to which was referred Sub. H. B. No. 87-Representatives Stephens, John, et. al., having had the same under consideration, reports it back and recommends its passage.

INTRODUCTION AND FIRST CONSIDERATION OF BILLS The following bills were introduced and considered for the first time: S. B. No. 172 - Senator Schaffer. To enact section 718.17 of the Revised Code to require municipal corporations with more than $100 million in annual income tax collections to provide a tax credit to nonresident taxpayers. S. B. No. 173 - Senator Rulli. To enact section 5534.897 of the Revised Code to designate a portion of State Route 224 in Mahoning County as the "Joseph K. Vrabel 'Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame' Memorial Highway."

Clerk's Notation Pursuant to Article IV, Section 5(B) of the Ohio Constitution, the received proposed amendments to the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, the Ohio Rules of Criminal Procedure, the Ohio Rules of Evidence, Ohio Rules of Appellate Procedure, and the Ohio Rules of Juvenile Procedures from the Ohio Supreme Court on April 29, 2021.
