The theme for St. Patrick’s Festival 2017, My Ireland, Stephen James Smith Ireland You Are... looks to explore Ireland The Festival commissioned Irish poet and playwright today and celebrate who we are as a culturally Stephen James Smith to write a poem, which he entitled My diverse, complex and brave society. Ireland, in response to this year’s theme. The epic poem is an overarching, edgy, yet celebratory narrative of Ireland Parade pageant companies from all over Ireland have each and beautifully captures much of what it means to live in responded to the Festival theme and similarly, it weaves through Ireland today.
