The Mardle is the Parish Newsletter which is delivered monthly to every House in the village.

St Mary's Church

The Grade 1 listed ,Medieval Church lies in the eastern part of the village . You will receive a warm welcome from there, times of services are on the church noticeboard. The Friends of St Mary's often organise various events which are always advertised in the Mardle. The Rector is Rev'd Mark McCaghrey . [email protected]

Memorials There is a war memorial, in the churchyard which has been recently restored, and a Memorial is on the Common in memory of the crew of a B24 bomber, which crashed in North Tuddenham in WW2.

Village Hall

Village hall has a hire capacity of 80-100 persons; a fitted Kitchen with crockery, plates etc. is included for the hirers use. Current Hourly Rate £6 & Current Daily Rate £25 Various activities currently run in the Village Hall, including craft groups, bingo, whist and gardening.

Contact Arthur Mobbs for further details 01362 637410 Public Footpaths There are numerous public footpaths around North Tuddenham, some offering walks up to 3 miles long (see below map). For a larger map see the notice board on the Village Green at the junction of Main Road, Pound Lane and Mill Road.

Poppy's Wood

A popular area for dog walkers, the wood is situated at the eastern side of North Tuddenham, owned and maintained by Bernard Matthews with public access.

There are walks within and around the wood, with a car park at the entrance. The Common The Common is about 23 acres in size, and has been maintained for many years as a wild habitat. The Conservation Volunteers have managed the Common over the last 18 -19 years, together with North Tuddenham Parish Council, and County Council. The ‘Common Management Committee’ has been formed recently and includes representatives from the local community, the Conservation Volunteers, the Parish Council and . Trees on the site include Oak, Silver Birch, Wild Cherry, Hornbeam, Field Maple and Holly. There are also many footpaths and a information board is located at the entrance to the Common The butterflies are an important feature of the Common, 24 species have been recorded, including less common varieties. There is also a large and varied moth population The pond, which is solely fed by rainwater, host a diverse ecosystem, including 17 species of dragonfly and gold crested newt. Recycling There is an active recycling and re-use scheme which operates in the village. Funds raised by recycling are all used to benefit the village and also maintain as low a precept as possible.Volunteer helpers are always needed and are welcome to join the group who meet weekly to recycle and refurbish items, and to enjoy a cup of tea at the same time!
