The Outdoor Recreation Center offers guided trips and clinics that include hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, stand up paddle boarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and more!

OPEN CLIMB - DIERKES

May 13 - Thurs 5pm - 8pm @ Dierkes Lake Join us at Dierkes Lake for some top rope climbing! MOUNTAIN BIKE MONDAY HIKING SERIES May 17- Mon 6:30pm - 8pm @ Auger Falls Mountain Bike Monday’s are starting up for the May 22- Sat 7am - 10am @ Local Trail summer! May 17-June 4 10am - 4pm @ Fairfield Join the ORC on a drive to the Camas Prairie. Every spring, the camas blooms and creates a beautiful field of blue that is said to look like water. The prairie is part of a wildlife management area and you can see many types of birds that live in the area as well! We will be driving together to the viewing area and then down in to the wildlife management area. The bloom is typically at it’s peak at the end of May so we are keeping the dates open to make sure we catch it at the right time. This trip will also consist of lunch in Fairfield and easy hikes if desired. If you are interested in joining us on this trip, please call or email us and we will put you on the list to contact when we know the bloom is happening. TRAIL WORK WEEKEND - WHITE CLOUD WILDERNESS

June 11-13 - Fri - Sat @ White Clouds Join the ORC on a unique experience in the White Cloud Wilderness! We are going to go up and do some early season trail work on the Warm Springs Creek trail that goes through the White Cloud Wilderness! We will be camping at the O’Brien Campground as a base camp each night and working on the trail with a non-profit, Polaski User Group. This is the perfect volunteer weekend experience, great opportunity to get a foot in the door with the forest service, gain summer employment, or just a great opportunity to work on our trails! BACKPACKING WEEKEND

July 31-Aug 1 Sat-Sun @ Pioneers or Lost Rivers Have you ever been backpacking? If the answer is no but you would like to try it then this is the perfect trip for you! Even if you have been backpacking before, we would love to have you join! We are taking a shorter, one night backpacking trip to a beautiful location to help people learn the basics of backpacking and outdoor ethics. Cost includes transportation and backpacking gear. INTRODUCTORY CAMPING TRIP

Aug14 - Aug 15 Sat-Sun @ Lake Cleveland Join us on a group camping trip! If you have never camped before, this trip is for you! We will be driving to Lake Cleveland, setting up camp, kayaking or standup paddle boarding around the lake, hiking, hammocking, and enjoying the mountains. We will be having Dutch oven dinner and enjoying the company of others in the mountains! Cost includes transportation, food (dinner and breakfast), and camping gear.
