(1) Parents’ Evening Gathering (Form 3) Parents’ Evening Gathering will be held on 4th October (Friday). Form 3 Class Teachers will meet with parents in the classroom assigned. (2) Leadership Training Day

To help students build up team spirit, unleash full potential and build up confidence, our school’s ECA group and The Edu cation & Development Center of The Salvation Army hold a Leadership Training Day. This is a regular school activity, students MUST participate in this event. Fee: $400 (Training, Lunch Box and Coach Fares) (A subsidy of $140 is offered by the school. Students only have to pay $260. Students with unexplained absence have to pay the total fee $400.) * Will be collected in October as part of the miscellaneous fees

Note: Students are required to wear class T-shirts on that day. (3) School Picnic The school picnic will be held on 18th October(Friday). It aims at providing students with a chance of learning and relaxation outside classrooms. For details, please refer to the notice which will be issued by the school picnic soon.

(4) Sale of Caritas Raffle Tickets Annual fund-raising activities organised by Caritas Hong Kong have been launched. Caritas Hong Kong is one of the charity organisations in the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. The annual cost for recurrent expenditure in offering social services to the community is enormous. Our school will participate in the raffle tickets sale in support of this charitable activity. The event is voluntary-based with no limitation on the amount of the donations. Ten raffle tickets will be delivered to your children on 27th September. Please advise your children to return the unsold raffles together with the donations to their class teachers on 17th October (Thurdsay). Thank you in advance for your great support in this meaningful act for the community. (5) Student Accident Insurance In order to provide a more comprehensive care for students’ safety and needs, school will offer “Group Personal Accident Insurance” free of charge for students in this academic year. Details of the insurance coverage are set out below for your attention. Type of Insurance: Group Personal Accident Insurance Period of Insurance: 2019 to 2020 academic year (1/9/2019-31/8/2020) Coverage: 1. Against Accidental Death or Injury incurred during the normal School Year. 2. Coverage commences everyday while the Insured Person leaves home directly to school during each normal school day and lasts when the Insured Person leaves the school directly to home and ceases until he/she returns home or 2 hours after schooling, whichever first occurs. 3. Coverage also commences when the Insured Person leaves home directly to the place of gathering point to attend any designated activity which is arranged / organised /endorsed by the Insured, and lasts until the Insured Person leaves the place of designated activity directly to home and ceases until he / she returns home or 2 hours after he/she leaves the place of designated activity, whichever first occurs. 4. If the normal place of residence of the Insured Person is outside Hong Kong territory, such coverage ceases until he/she returns home or 4 hours after schooling, or he/she leaves the place of designated activity, whichever first occurs. (6) AFS Free Information Seminar 2020/21

AFS Hong Kong Office is organizing a one-year overseas exchange program for local secondary school students aged 15 to 18.5. The programme provides local youth complete and in-depth international cultural exchange opportunities in order to promote overseas exchanges and enhance students’ qualities as global citizens by exposing them to languages, daily lives and cultures overseas. Details of the information seminar are as follows: Activity AFS Free Information Seminar 2020/21 Venue AFS office, 8/F, Shun Feng International Centre, 182 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai Date Choose a convenient date and time via the website. (7) Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition 2019

Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition 2019 will be held soon, details of the exhibition are as follows: Date 18,19 October 2019 Time 18 October: 10am to 7pm 19 October: 10am to 5pm Venue Rotunda 2, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (3/F, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon) Event Aside from the exhibition, seminars about higher education in Taiwan Details will also be hosted by the Taiwan University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students. 81 national, private, comprehensive and vocational universities from Taiwan will take part in the Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition 2019 and give an introduction about higher education in Taiwan to guests. The procedures for overseas entrance will be explained in the exhibition. Students interested in studying in Taiwan and parents may attend the exhibition.
