Community Work

In 2007, I participated in Breast screening awareness and screening compaigns among women conducted by MEWATA in Mbeya. The campaign raised awareness for Breast cancer and created public demand for cancer screening in the country. In 2009 I participated in Human Resource for Health (HRH) Initiative conducted in remote health facilities in Rukwa region. The activity was supported by CIDA aiming at determining factors that promote working in difficult conditions.

Awards

2007: Won a highly competitive Comic Relief Scholarship through Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (Full Scholarship) to study MPH at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

2008: Won and awarded a highly competitive scholarship from the Directorate – General for Development Cooperation, ITM, to study a short course in ART (SCART) in resource limited countries at Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp-Belgium.
