Food Pantry ReKopening

The Food Pantry of Di- vine Mercy Parish has been closed for 15 months due to the Covid situation. As a re- sult, the shelves are empty, and we must be in operation for a minimum of six months before we can reKapply to be a member of the Feed More K WNY K Food Bank. As a member we will be able to pur- chase a variety of items at a considerably lower cost to distribute to those in need in the surrounding area. In the meantime, we will need purchase food from area super- markets; and depend on donations from parishioners, who have been most generous over the years since the pantry was established. Our humble request is for food items (pasta, tomato sauce, soups, canned tuna and chicken, canned vegetables, cereals, etc.) to be placed in the col- lection containers in Church OR for cash/check donations which will be used to make purchases of needed items for distribution. We thank you in advance for your considera- tion and continued generosity in serving those in need. May God bless you for your support as we move forward.

Sincerely, SVDP volunteers of the Food Pantry
