University of Maine: Maine begins the season 4-0-0 for the first time in school history…Maine had previously started the season 2-0 on six different occa- sions…Danielle Ward (Lansing, Mich.) has three of Maine’s four game-winning goals on the season…Senior Dawn Sullivan (Enfield, N.S.) and Ashley Norum (Fairbanks, Alaska) each played in their 100 career games over the weekend at Quinnipiac…Rookie Jennifer More (Deloraine, Man.) has a point in each of her first four collegiate games.

University of New Hampshire: UNH opened the season at 3-0-0 for the fifth time – and started the year with a three-game unbeaten streak for the seventh time – in head coach Brian McCloskey’s 10-year tenure...Kristine Horn has scored a goal in all four games with totals of four goals and an assist for five points... Nicole Gifford has recorded an assist every game with totals of one goal and four assists for five points...In her second collegiate start, Jenn Gilligan recorded her first career shutout with a 19-save effort against Colgate...UNH’s penalty kill went 10-for-10 last weekend and yielded a mere six shots to the opposition.

Northeastern University: Florence Schelling recorded her 11th career shutout in the win over Colgate…Casey Pickett (three goals), Katie MacSorley (two) and Brittany Esposito (two) each have multiple markers in the early going…North- eastern has two more games at home (Oct. 14 against Union and Oct. 15 against Quinnipiac) before its first road trip of the season, beginning Oct. 21 at Princeton…This is the first season in program history in which Northeastern will play fewer than two games outside of New England.

Providence College: Friar goaltender Genevieve Lacasse (Kingston, Ont.) is seven wins shy of tying the Providence College record of 58 career wins, cur- rently held by Jana Bugden ‘07...The Friars current class of freshman includes Brooke Simpson (Boxborough, Mass.), granddaughter of the late John Simpson who was the AD of Boston University and one of the founders of Hockey East.

University of Vermont: Sophomore defenseman Megan Dalbec (Champlin, Minn.) leads the team in scoring with two assists...Vermont is 0-1-2 against teams in the ECAC this season…Vermont was 3-3-4 in games against the ECAC last season…This year the Catamounts will face five teams from their former confer- ence (Clarkson, Rensselaer, Colgate, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence.)…Vermont has another difficult schedule this season, with 12 games against teams ranked in the preseason USCHO.com Division I Women’s Poll…Vermont returns to action next weekend when it travels to No. 6 North Dakota for a two-game set.
