Name of Project: Diversion of Protected Forest Land for ‘Six laning of Hapur Bypass to section including Hapur Bypass from existing km 50.000 to km 149.250 of NH-24 in Hapur, Amroha and Moradabad Districts of State NHDP Phase V’ in Amroha Forest Division

Justification for Locating the Project in Forest Area

As the proposed project road is widening and up-gradation on existing road of NH-24 for approach road to major city, towns and villages of Hapur, Amroha and of Uttar Pradesh State.

 It is the best suitable alignment from technical point of view and requiring minimum forest area.  Earthwork cutting and banking is minimum  Minimum numbers of trees are affected  Road gradients are suitable for traffic

There is no suitable alternative non-forest land to construct the road. The proposed widening of NH-24 is mostly on existing road. Hence, the forest area is proposed for diversion.
